This hotel is simply the best on san Cristobal! Owned by a very sweet family. They are very helpful, they helped us getting very early breakfast for a trip and helped us when we had any questions. The breakfast was very good and served on the rooftop with a truly nice sea view, and the rooms are clean and cozy. As the owner said himself “we only want happy faces” - and we were very happy with our stay at the hotel:))

Nice, spacious rooms, helpful hosts, would be happy to return

Of the 5 places we stayed in Puerto Ayora, this was certainly our favorite. Would stay here again if we return. May cost $5-10 more than the budget places, but it’sa whole higher level of quality. Rooms spacious and attractively furnished, ours had a walk- through closet and a nice balcony overlooking the harbor. Has a big common room with a kitchen and free potable water. The owners are a mother and son, and both were so gracious and helpful, helped us with getting laundry done, getting a taxi to the airport.

Sanctuary in Galapagos

This place saved us! We moved from Solymar due to super uncomfortable beds that literally made our bodies hurt to the point of not being able to sleep and min room amenities on top of that. Then we found Torre Mar! Very comfortable stay. The beds are great, the AC’s work very well, the wifi was strongest there then anywhere I had on the island and all the room amenities you’d want! The balcony off my room was a great place for me to get some work done and relax. But they also have the best outdoor hangout area ever! Comfy seats, grill, bar top, pretty views. Love this place. The place is walking distance to pretty much anything you need. But in the rare event you want to ride. The taxis are by all the time and they’re only $1.50 to take you anywhere in town. Or Donna has a spot to keep your bike if you want to rent bikes. Looking forward to coming back here and sending everyone I know to this place as well.

Charming Hotel in Santa Cruz

Reviewed By Peter7714

I only booked a ticket to the Galapagos Islands, so as soon as I entered Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz, I had to find a place to spend the night. After walking around a bit, I stumbled on Hotel Galapagos Dreams and immediately fell in love with it. For 25 dollars I had a shared room with two other girls, but I didn't mind. The room was spacious, I had a nice bed, a shower and a bathroom. That's all I needed. Wi-fi isn't too stable and pretty slow in the hotel, but to be fair, that's the case everywhere on the Galapagos Islands. It didn't bother me much. Besides, they have a wonderful restaurant that I enjoyed a lot with a nice atmosphere. So, yeah, I recommend this hotel. I loved it! :-)

Location is perfect. Right in Puerto Ayora but the street is quiet and has delicious restaurants. The whole place was decorated so nicely, the room was clean and comfortable, AC worked very well, the shower always had hot water. Breakfast was so good, and there was always coffee available. Pedro was wonderful and made all the guests feel welcome and happy. He set up a tour to Pinzon Island for us and it was GREAT!! Very well priced and such an awesome day. We would have booked more tours with Pedro but we had all our other days planned. I would definitely not stay anywhere else and we plan on coming back for sure!

Fabulous location, staff and breakfest

Reviewed By Rosalove7

Our travel group stayed here for 2 nights. This places location is amazing close to the beach, right across the street from a lagoon with flamingos, and close to lots of great restaurants. My spouse and I stayed in room 10 which is right of the pool from the front office and left of the pool shower. The room has 2 full beds with a couch, desk, and a window that faces a wall. The key they give you is a wooden rectangle Keychain with a penguin graved in. The Air-conditioned worked great kept the room nice and cool. The room was clean overall just needs a little deep cleaning on the couch and curtains. The bathroom was big nice shower area. I was able to have a nice hot shower but it did take a few mins to get hot. The bathroom does have a bar of soap and a pump i think soap shampoo in the shower area. No hair dryer in room. many of the towels had orange spots which they said was from towel holder so just be aware. The pool was nice and warm and wifi worked ok in this area. Did not work well in the bedroom which is OK nice to disconnect. They do have 3 hot tubs upstairs but you must let them know 30 mins beforehand so they can put water and run them but none of use in our group used them. Warning every morning starting around 4 am then nonstop at 5am roosters would crow many of us could not sleep after 5am from the roosters. Just a fair warning. Beer and water are available for purchase from the lobby $3 for small beer $5 for big bottle beer and $1.25 for bottle of water but they did run out. down the street on the left beer was cheaper so we go buy there. Also past that store on the left there is an amazing empanda stand that sells the best for only a $1.50 each doesn't open til after 4pm. Located right on the beach. breakfast here was amazing located upstairs included eggs: (boiled or scrambled) cheese, meat, toast, bread, banana, fruits, fresh juice, coffee, tea, milk, and yogurt. I would definitely stay here again location fabulous, service and staff wonderful.

A beautiful oasis

Reviewed By Stephanie L

I stayed here for two nights in May. I gasped the moment I walked inside the front gate because of how lovely the courtyard was. Then when I saw my room, I was again amazed it was so spacious and pretty. Among the other things I liked about this place: the comfortable bed, the nice balcony with a hammock, the attentive and kind host Joseline, the delicious breakfast, and the location, which was only a few minutes walk to everything.
