Reviewed By Niyi_DavidGreat place in Calabar Municipality. The rooms are comfortable and nice. Staff are friendly. Spent a night here and it's the nicest place I've stayed in Calabar recently. Food was good, well made and filling. Some facelift and construction is going on. The swimming pool is being renovated and is almost ready. All in all, great place! Will stay here when I visit Calabar again.

Reviewed By Niyi_DavidThe location of the hotel is quiet and serene. The hotel itself is nice. Food was good and the staff were friendly. The swimming pool is small but nice and clean. There's a gym, which needs an upgrade, but then perhaps the hotel doesn't get too much patrons needing those facility. The room is nice and cozy. Air-conditioning works well. Bathroom was okay. I had a problem with the shower in my room, but it was fixed when I mentioned it to Front Desk. I do believe the hotel has potential to be well ahead of its present state. It's a place I definitely will visit again.

Reviewed By Niyi_DavidDuring the Yuletide season, it's difficult to get good accommodation in Calabar if you don't book early ahead. With an influx of international and local tourists into the city to be part of "Africa's Biggest Street Party," it's not hard to see why this is so. However, with Carnival Calabar not held for the second year in a row due to Covid-19, the city was less frenetic as it should have been this period. I spent 3 nights at Axari Hotels & Suites and I can say, it was a good experience. The property has great facilities. The staff was friendly. The ambience was neat and serene. 24hr power supply. It was a great experience.

I had to stay for one night
Reviewed By deewhyjoeLooking back on it I can now laugh but at the time it was terrible. When we arrived the hotel looked ok and was clean enough in the communal areas. In my room it was frankly disgusting! I like to have a firm mattress but the bed was hard as a board and there were insects crawling over the floor. In the bathroom the sink leaked and when I leant on it whilst brushing my teeth the sink fell off of the wall. While having a shower there is a window into the communal corridor which meant that people could see you if you were stood up in the bath having a shower. There is a night club next door, only a few metres next door and this is quite apparent being able to hear it until the club closes. I would not stay here again if that was not apparent.
