IHI has many facilities to immerse yourself in and to enjoy the picturesque views, while also boasting lovely rooms. We could not recommend IHI more, and will definitely be back! Disappointed

Reviewed By BentOutOfShape

We've rarely experienced such a discrepancy between the TA ratings and the reality. Ok staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and it is well located. But the old fashioned shower was impossible to operate properly and safely. We almost burned the skin on our backs as you'd either get a bit of cold water or a flush of hot water. We heard others having the same problem. We mentioned this to the staff and they said they'll call the plumber in. I'd expect this kind of issues to be dealt with beforehand. And then the breakfast. Salmon that had gotten dark and just wasn't tasty. Eggs that had been cooked grainy. Pan toasted bread dripping with rancid tasting butter. The only positive was the bacon.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Reviewed By Erik K

My Dad and I found this place simply by seeing a road sign, it has become one of my favorite B and B's. Thomas and his wife are the most gracious hosts you could ask for, they gave us advice on where to eat and where to visit in the area. The evening and morning conversations with Thomas over tea were something I truly enjoyed and look forward to in the future. They made us feel truly welcome, like old friends. The place was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The price was fantastic.

Eamon and Kathleen both met us in such a friendly way that we felt right at home before I could even bring our bags in. Kathleen showed us our room then invited us to relax with a wonderful cup of coffee and tea with scones that really took the edge off our days travel. Besides our room we had full use of both a nice living room and a dining room to work on our computers and read. Kathleen was wonderful and checked on us frequently to see if we were warm enough or needed anything. You have many choices for breakfast and it is serven on beautiful matched china just the way you like it. We enjoyed our time here so much that we were sorry we had to leave to catch a plane. We will return. Thank you Kathleen and Eamon for making our stay so enjoyable.

Quiet, rural and friendly

My hubby and I enjoyed a night at Mahers B&B which is in a beautiful rural and quiet location. Situated at the bottom of a long driveway, it is a spacious family home renovated into a guest house with adequate private parking amid lovely spacious garden grounds as well as a garden nursery owned by a family member. The room was clean and comfortable with a large modern ensuite and we had a nice evening sat outside enjoying the sun and a few glasses of wine! The hosts were friendly and welcoming and were able to provide plenty of information as to where to eat and nearby places. The cooked breakfast was delicious and made to order, 1 cooked breakfast is included in the price and the other is subject to an additional €10. Would definitely recommend!
