Great stay

Reviewed By 623BeanY

We stayed here for 2 days and it was wonderful. The one bedroom unit cabin was clean, cozy, and everything we've expected. It was next to a creek and had fire pits on the banks. Staff was very helpful, I had forgotten something after checking out and they were quick to help me get it back a couple days later. Would definitely come back again!

I made my reservations for a 4 night stay at Country Encounters through Air B&B. I have never been to Crows Nest Pass area before and was excited to see some new sights. Our Host Dawn was phenomenal at taking care of us! Our room was exceptional and the breakfasts we were served every morning was freshly cooked/prepared by our Chef Dawn within speaking distance of our table. The fare would consist of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a carb side to be followed with an egg dish and home made cured meats of the highest quality with a carafe of orange juice and a thermos of coffee to wash it all down. We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. I can not say enough about Country Encounters B&B, it is one of those unexpected jewels you rarely find when travelling!

Lady Macdonald is a unique, comforting, cozy experience in the mountains. Each day we were served an amazing, homemade, absolutely delicious breakfast. The tea selection was impressive and delightful, as I drink tea over coffee. The beds were comfy and the views in the morning impressive. The staff was beyond knowledgable of the area. The front desk manager, Veronica, is familiar with trails, hikes and mountains. She is more than willing to share her expertise and send you off on an amazing adventure. I very much enjoyed the lady Macdonald and will return here for sure, as its my favorite place to stay in the mountains!!

Very Memorable for the Great Company & Gourmet Breakfasts

Reviewed By Doggo-friend-34

We have family in the Crowsnest Pass so we've stayed in a variety of accomodations over the years - this was our first stay with Anne & Ken and hands down, they've earned our loyalty for future visits. A welcoming property overall with spacious and beautifully decorated common spaces. Lovely rooms with screened windows that are easy to open - as well as spare bedding - perfect for folks trying to balance different temperature preferences. And an expansive front porch that I highly recommend you sit on and enjoy the views from. But the highlight truly is the warmth & joy from Anne and Ken, as well as Anne's gourmet breakfasts. They are seasoned hosts and balance well a welcoming atmosphere & joyful chatter in passing with the sense of "come and go as you please, do your own thing." We had our dog with us and he also was immediately drawn to their kindness and gentle nature. I can't give the breakfasts enough credit here in writing. Go try them yourself! Stay at least two nights. Do let them know when you'd like to eat breakfast in the morning if you are coming in late in the evening. Come hungry, give yourself time to slow down and enjoy. Truly a gourmet made from scratch 10/10 breakfast experience. Savory? Sweet? Coffee? Tea? Fresh fruit? Yes to all. Our jaws dropped each morning - this trip we were dealing with some family health concerns but each morning our day was brightened substantially by the masterpiece on our breakfast plates. We will be back - we strongly recommend that you get on the calendar for York Creek. We were very fortunate to be able to stay with late notice bc of a cancellation by another guest. But next time we will make sure we get on the calendar to make sure we don't miss out :)
