Brody House

Brody House is situated in central Pest, 200 m away from Budapest's Hungarian National Museum. It offers access to bar and salon, optional cultural events, free Wi-Fi and luggage storage. Breakfast is served every morning and other meals are available upon request. The rooms are unique and individually designed, all comprising a private bathroom with shower or bathtub. They come with air conditioning and are very high with plenty of natural light. The building of the property dates from the 1850s. There are popular cafes, restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the property. Brody House is 1.5 km away from Gellert Bath and the Vaci Shopping Street. Parking is available in front at a surcharge. Liszt Ferenc Airport is a 30-minute car drive away. 08. Jozsefvaros is a great choice for travellers interested in monuments, architecture and sightseeing. This is our guests' favourite part of Budapest, according to independent reviews. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.8 for a two-person trip.

Nice rooms but extremely noisy (!!) and superficial housekeeping

Reviewed By 7c_liap

The rooms are spacious and quite well decorated. The building itself is a charming old house in the city center. However, the rooms are EXTREMELY noisy - the noise insulation is very bad between the rooms (we could distinctly hear our neigbors talking and people walking in the room above us). There were also renovation works at the time of our trip (in February) starting 8 am... Finally, housekeeping was superficial with no deep cleaning of the bathroom. Would not recommend it.

Basic, but very nice

We stayed there during a one-day visit to Budapest. Nice and small hotel with an at-home feeling, 20-min walk from the city centre. There is parking avalable on the street and free for foreign licence plates. The staff is nice and helpful, offering tourist information and bus tickets for sale. We had a small room with a bathroom. The hotel is calm, and we had a good night sleep, and the bathroom was clean. There is a kitchen available next to the reception area, but we didn’t use it. Would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Fully app onboarding and checkout of this hotel is amazing. A lot of rich hotel network chains are on the bigging or max on online check and after personal checking you will get mobil key here at this hotel klasic card key doesnt exist. All via phone so in case you lost a phone or is off because battery you have a problem. The standard of hotel is on level budget hotels but nice practise and modern style, over standard to budget hotel is safe, fridge, and kettle. It is funny that a piece of coffe and tea you have to bring own. So from my point of view benefit unusable. Every can be perfect but one important thing. Entry doors to the room lile from paper. You lisen all and to outside from room is possible lissen to corridor. This is terrible.

God location, not so clean

Stuff was really good, sweet & helpful. Centrooms was right above the Metro line2, bus stations and 5 minutes from everything by feet like ruin bars, market, Burger King etc. I would prefer although the room to be a lot cleaner less hairy on the bed sheets and the towels to be changed at least once every 2 days. They didn’t change our towels in our 4 nights stay.

I am writing this review because I think the reviews I read don't reflect the real situation: The rooms are clean but there is almost no storage place- no where to unpack ylto. We are five 2 parents and three big boys so it was very difficult. Ended up putting clothes in the kitchen empty drawers. There is no room by the beds. No sockets by the tables. There is no way to shower standing up because there is no shower and the sprayer is too short to reach up. And no where to put it if it did. The walls are thin so we hear each other well from the next room. We couldn't get the TV to work as it was in Hungarian. The staff didn't really help though they said they would. Also no way to keep the light out in the morning if you want to sleep late. There are no spare garbage bags. Except for all the above, it is very clean, neat and everything works. The place is nice with good natural lighting. There is a very nice mall very near, and overall it has a good vibe.

We stayed 4 nights in one of their apartments and this was an absolute pleasure. We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who checked us in, showed us around and escorted us to our apartment. The apartment building is very nicely located close to various of the top sightseeing attractions in Budapest, which included several squares with Christmas markets. The building has a classy entrance, an excellent parking garage underneath and most importantly very nice apartments. Ours had an entrance hall, open plan kitchen/living space, big bedroom, small but ok bathroom with shower and seperate toilet.

Great apartment with excellent location

I occasionally spend a few days here when I return to Hungary from Sweden around Christmas time. Whenever I stayed at one of the apartments, I never regretted my decision as the staff was always helpful, and it is hard to beat the cleanliness and the location. A few weeks ago, before my return to Sweden, I asked for an early check-in (i.e., at 11.00), which was provided without any problems (plus the apartment was again super clean by that time); the flexibility is highly appreciated. In winter times, the apartment is super warm, so you will never be cold if you visit Budapest in the colder months.

Nice view

Even is a little bit far from center, the room at the last level have a beautifull view, especially in the evening. Although, the stairs are narrow and a little bit hard to carry the luggage, it worth it. The hotel is placed on a hill and you can see the whole Budapest. The room was clean and warm, with confortable matress but too soft pillow ( I can say standard) with aldish funiture but well maintained. The check-in was fast, you can find a beer at the reception in the night :-) and you have parking place at the street, in front of the rooms. Very close to the highway so the exit is fast if you are on a way to Austria. Allover, was a good place.

disappointing

Reviewed By benicahana

booked this form hotels.com after going over reviews chose a 4 star hotel . Unfortunately was verry disappointed from room and service. We arrived late on Friday at 1:30am and where given room number 15, as soon as we entered the room we could smell a strange odder even through our corona masks. Both me and my friend smelled it. The first thing we did in the morning was to report this to the manager at the front desk and request to find a solution as the room reeks of a sewage smell. They told us they would check it. We then went out and came back in the afternoon and asked about our room and smell. The person at the desk then told us that the cleaning lady did not smell anything and she ventilated the room . Thats it ! Instead of solving the problem or providing a solution they made some excuse! We then had to endure the sewage smell for the rest of our stay the ventilation did not help . It seems the smell came form some where in bathroom and effected the hole room. They should not sell this room in such a conduction. There where also other small issues like some previous customer left underwear in the cupboard of the bathroom and no one bothered to through it away. But the main and serious issue was the sewage smell throughout our entire stay. we of course will not return to this hotel ever again and- even if they fix the room situation the lack of service the problem solving is not acceptable
