Feels like staying at granny's home
Reviewed By kr3mb0Rarem guesthouse/house is more suitable name for Rarem bed & breakfast. It is a very old house with only 10 bedrooms (scattered places) with a homey ambience. It have 2 gardens, in the middle of the house and at the back. But unfortunately less maintenance and lighting, so it feels little bit creepy at night. As the interior, looks vintage but need to have more touch to makes it more classy. we booked 2 rooms. One room with no window and another one has old-model window with holes, located in front of the kitchen. the window makes the room less private coz all sounds from out & inside can be heared clearly (i.e.: people walk, talk, cooking activity in the kitchen, etc). the bathroom in our room is very big. the best thing in there is the big shower with heavy hot/cold water. but, it also have coackroaches and termite dust so we should clean everytime we use it. Regarding the cleanliness needs to be improved. When we asked to clean the room, changed the sheets and the towel, they are not changing it. Instead, they fold the towels so it looks like new. The floor is not mopped properly too. Luckily, they listen to our complain and not doing it again. we booked room without breakfast but they are still giving breakfast. the breakfast is fresh from the kitchen, made by order. On Eid El Fitr, they made special buffet breakfast with traditional Eid menu for all the guests. Overall, the place is quite ok for limited budget. My advice is to maintain the place little bit more to make it keep vintage but classy. The rooms area needs to be relocated and watch for guest privacy in order to make guests more comfortable to stay.

Saat menjalani pelatihan kami menginap disini. Meskioun tergolong hotel yang sudah cukup berusia, tetapi Hotel Nusantara tetap memberikan kenyamanan, makanannya lezat banget terutama roti yang diberi susu dan keju (saya lupa namanya) jadi menu favorit saya, aulanya pun nyaman, pegawainya ramah dan cepat tanggap, dan letak kolam renangnya yang strategi menjadi pilihan yang asyik untuk bersantai sembari mengobrol dengan teman-teman yang ikut pelatihan.

Kebetulan saat mau check-in kamar yang tersedia untuk jenis ac tinggal 2. dengan bed yang berbeda. satu kasur sorong dan satu kasur no 1. untuk yang kasur no 1 ber-ac terletak dilantai bawah dengan tangga menuju lantai 2 standar untuk ruangan. cuma pintunya agak susah harus dengan trik. untuk fasilitas listrik menggunakan kartu seperti dihotel bintang 3 jadi kalau kartu itu dicabut maka semua akses yang gunakan listrik dikamar ikut padam seperti tv,ac, dan lampu. untuk kamar mandi pintunya agak sedikit diangkat biar bisa tertutup dengan baik. tidak tersedia air panas. tapi untuk guest haouse cukup nyaman karena menggunakan shower dan juga ada tampungan ember didalamnya. sayangnya untuk ac kurang dingin. untuk Kamar yang tipe kasur sorong. kondisinya baik. terletak dilantai 2 yang waktu itu kami tempati. ac dingin. disini tidak termasuk breakfast gratis. tapi jika mau pesan makan bisa diorder mulai pukul 07.00 wib. harganya cukup murah. terletak di depan sekolah penerbangan. dibelakangnya tersedia taman bermain untuk anak-anak.

Reviewed By Catur SIt was a nice hotel in its price. I got my superior room with twin bed. Room was spacious, clean, but I got problem wd shower in bathroom because it didnt want to stop flowing water. And of course made some noise in nite. Tv cable was giving poor signal. But most of all, it was nice cz price was also not too high.

The Satwa Elephant Eco Lodge opened in 2007 as the fourth eco lodge in the Ecolodgesindonesia group of lodges. Situated on the edge of The Way Kambas National Park, we aim to work with the park authorities to improve guest expereiences in this unique park with many endangered speicies (eg Sumatran Tiger, Rhino and Elephant). With 8 double or triple rooms, it is serviced entirely by staff from the local village in line with the companies policy of using local job creation as a Conservation measure. By coming to this lodge, you are supporting the thrust to show that fauna and flora can produce productive livehoods.
The only way to access Way Kambas
Reviewed By donalm334I have written a separate review of the NP detailing the park, access, and species seen. We stayed at Satwa for 2 nights. We had booked longer but upon seeing their price list for activities we cut our trip short to be able to afford all the activities. The accommodation is clean, the food we got was good (lunch and dinner are grossly overpriced for the region though). Restaurant staff were particularly lovely. I say it's the only way to see Way Kambas, and this is a good and a bad thing. They do organise all the trips you want to do, and you can pay as one payment at the end of your stay by cash or card, but they can charge whatever price they want with no competition. The river boat trip is the nest way to get deep into the forest and grant the possibility to see rhinos, tapirs, tigers or elephants. We didn't see any of these in the park (we saw elephants in the Elephant centre, but I was unsure how to feel about this place ethically, as we saw one elephant basically in hand cuffs if you can picture that). Prices are shown in a picture below for activities. We did a night walk, morning walk, visit to elephant centre, and river boat trip. We had one transfer provided on departure. Our room was large, bathroom was clean. Two beds consisting of 4 singles pushed together. Fans were adequate for temperature control but not ideal. Had 2 power cuts during our stay, didn't bother us much. Our total cost for all the above and the 2 nights accomdation was in the region of 400 euro. List of animals that we saw in my review of Way Kambas. We visited in the off season, but monsoon rains were late, so we didn't get wet. We were the only guests at the time. No price difference in the off season.

Cheap but decent
Reviewed By Dede SPros: very cheap with good location. Got a decent cafe below and pretty good wifi connection. Bed was comfortable enough. Very cheap laundry rates. Cons: breakfast at the cafe was slightly below average. No buffet and the food was cold.
