Come and visit our family run outdoor activity centre, set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Tackle one of the largest High Ropes courses in the county, overlooking three spectacular lakes and rolling hills. Choose from a range of single activities, packages or bespoke programmes.

Located in Ware, Hertfordshire, The Beautitioner is a home based salon owned by me, Katie. Working from a home based salon gives both me and my clients a greater amount of flexibility. I work longer hours than I would ever do in a high street salon which being at home allows me to do. I love making clients feel good about themselves and want to ensure you enjoy the salon experience, escaping the pressures of everyday life. I have obtained a number of qualifications as well as being a fully insured member of the Guild of Beauty Therapists, giving you the confidence that you’re in safe and knowledgable hands. I have always had a drive to learn as much as I can and this continues so keep an eye out for new treatments. We have 3 rooms that run 4 different storylines. We cater for all ages - 7yrs to 60yrs. Captive 15+* Zombie 15+* Kidnapped 15+* Crown Jewels 7-12yrs *Under 15's can participate subject to parental approval.

This wetland nature reserve has something to offer everyone and will appeal to families, walkers, birdwatchers and photographers alike. With 8 hides and 3 large lagoons the reserve plays host to a variety of species such as Tufted duck, Common tern, Green sandpiper, Cetti's warbler, Kingfisher, Water vole, Fox, and most recently Black-Necked Grebe. A great place for children and families with spotter trails, and regular events, but also very popular with birders and people after a relaxing walk or some peace and quiet. The friendly visitor centre offers two classrooms, a bird feeding station, hot and cold drinks and refreshments, and toilet facilities, plus free parking for RSPB members. Opening times are every day from 9 am to 5 pm (or dusk if earlier). Please note that the reserve is closed on Christmas and Boxing Day.

Artshed Arts is Hertfordshire’s leading creative arts centre. Offering the community a wide range of workshops and courses for adults and children, beginners through to advance levels of tutoring in pottery, fused glass, lamp work, paper crafts, textiles, drawing, life drawing, fine art, painting and pot throwing on the wheel. We offer all of our art disciplines as bespoke workshops, for a min of 8 people tailored to the relevant age, perfect for a birthday, celebration or corporate event. We also have a gift shop selling local artists work and have a lovely refurbished drop-in crafts space offering painting on pottery, pebble painting, decoupage and canvas art. The atmosphere is relaxing and inspiring. Come along and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee while you catch up with friends and family.

Whitehill Golf Course has undulating well groomed fairways and greens with well placed ponds, bunkers and trees. At 6802 yards the Par 72 course provides a stern test for the low handicapper and an enjoyable game for the higher handicapper.
