Simply amazing. Don’t miss out. Weather in town will not determine weather at the top. It was cloudy the day I went and opened up to blue skies at the summit. Also went solo. Very easy to do. Take taxi or walk to sun plaza Buy train + cable car tickets Take train Take cable car Climb the stairs or take more trains I suggest climbing as you can see all the different views and see and enter temples along the way. There’s a cafe with stunning views at the top to enjoy drinks, rest, use restroom, WiFi.

Our fantastic guide Tom, from Buffalo Tours (who I cannot recommend highly enough) collected us in a lovely air conditioned car at 8.30am and we drove to the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels Tom was a wealth of knowledge and explained all about the tunnels and how the Viet Cong lived during the war. As we were leaving the buses and smaller coaches were arriving. We were so lucky to be able to wander quietly almost by ourselves. Worth getting up a bit early on our first day !!

Somebody said it only takes half a day, well we got there soon after opening, using the complimentary shuttle bus service, and stayed till closing time!. Probably the best 'zoo' experience we've had with the superb interaction possible with the giraffes, elephants and lemurs plus the bird show too which gave us the opportunity to hold the birds and take photographs. Everything was clean and well presented, the only sad animal was the lion cub but there's probably a back story to why he was by himself. The safari was well run with commentary in Vietnamese and English and the animals came very close to the bus with a brown bear even being fed by the driver. Plenty of places to get refreshments which we needed - it was a hot day - and reasonably priced. Overall a very good day out.

Love this itinerary. Take a one way Cable Car ride to enjoy the alpine like scenery of pine forest and farms. At the end of the cable car station instead of taking the return cable car back up, do enjoy the Walkaround the little peaceful monastery. After which, take a morning exercise to walk downwards a trail w steps to the Paradise Lake. Enjoy the lovely dam activities, cool air and views. Then take a really short car ride to Datanla Waterfall... Have an exhilarating roller coaster ride and at the base spend some lovely time at the waterfall. Return via Roller Coaster up to end the morning. Would recommend this as a must do on the Dalat list.
