This is a lovely wood that with nice wide, comfortable walking paths. The views are lovely and we enjoyed listening to the birds sing and the trees that were just leafing out. I did not find anything particularly educational about the trail but I wasn't there for that. I was there to enjoy a lovely afternoon stroll and that is exactly what I got!

It was unfortunately foggy this day so we could not see the lake well but in regular weather, there is a café upstairs of the castle that has a wonderful view over the lake.
The castle has a collection of Roman remains and some furniture from the 18-19 century. Tata is a cute little village.

Highly recommend this family runned wine shop for wine lovers.
Nice selection of Neszmélyi and Hungarian wines at really competitive prices, lovely and professional staff. What else would you need? :)
Worth to pop in to buy a glass or two :) for the sunday lunch or for a friday party or to surprise somebody with a nice present.

Lake with houseboats all around it, popular for fishing. Lake is accessible by car from main road or by foot from nerby camp. Some of the houseboats are also available for rent. There is also a buffet and shop with fishing accessories.

The whole furnishing, interior design and the feeling is out of the 70-80’s. You also can get 4 types of beer on tap, and the single place in the region with Belgian draft beers too. If you’re lucky you can try the wheel of fortune, where you can win a drink. The atmosphere is very cozy staff is polite, a really good place to spend some time especially on a break during the old Lake bicycle round.

We visited nearby town Tata and just stopped here with our kids to take some rest and fresh air. This arboretum is in fact a nice forest, around 20 hectars, full of exoctic or less exotic trees (oaks, pines ...many plants). Although it was weekend and afternoon, the forest was empty - I was surprised, that we were the only visitors there - and thereby quiet. We walked on the paths among the trees, enjoyed the summer afternoon, the silence, special, clear air, all the beauty around us and were so happy when we saw eagles, owls and squirrels.
If you enjoy walking in the nature or long for a nice,quiet place for relax with your loved ones or just "recharge your own batteries" while you´re staying in this region, I can highly recommend Agostyán Arboretum. Take your comfortable runners on, grab some sandwiches and a bottle of water into your bag and let´s go out. Parking is free at the gate, admission into the park is cheap (400 HUF - approx. 1.50 euros/person)

On the hill outside of the old Synagogue on Hosok Tere is one of the world's most powerful Holocaust memorials. Words are hard to find to relate the strength of the message and compulsion one finds to stare at the sculptures for moments at a time. Its a nice walk from the commercial center of town and very very close to the lake.

Gyermekem nagyon élvezte a labirintust. Kellemesen kávézgattam mellette. Miután lefáradt még olvasgatni is tudtunk. Utána pedig nem volt gondom az altatással .Ha tehetném minden na látogatnám.

Hol is kezdjem..
Először is amikor mentünk nem volt egyszerű megtalálni, ugyanis körbe az Öreg-Tó körül kint vannak a táblák merre találjuk de az épület, ami bàzisul szolgál felújítás alatt volt!
De eltökéltek voltunk és mindenàron segwayezni akartunk, ezért felhívtuk a számot, leegyeztettük és a tó hàtuljában való gyors meeting után neki is vàgtunk!
Megismertük Lacit, az idegenvezetőnket, aki körbevitt minket a tó körül illetve a városon, làtnivalókon, közben folyamatosan mesélte az érdekességeket. Eszméletlen komplex képet kaptunk mindenről, csomó tök érdekes dolgot megtudtunk az Angol-Kertről és még sok más dologról de nem lőném le, érdemes mindenképpen elmenni és kipróbálni! Abszolút fàrasztó egyébként, mert bàr az ember csak áll de mégis mi 3 masszív óràt töltöttünk a gépen, ami azért màr kellően elfáraszt, de a jó értelemben!
Összességében csak ajànlani tudom, egy ritka jófej fickót ismerhettünk meg Laciban, kaptunk vizet is (mindenkinek van a kis szütyőben a kormányon) plusz egy műzliszeletet valamint nem utolsó sorban rengeteg jó élményt :)
Ja és végezetül: csak óvatosan, könnyen pofàra lehet esni egy óvatlan pillanatban, mindkettőnknek sikerült a párommal :))
