Mossy Forest

Visited here as part of a half day tour and didn't find it very impressive. You walk up a board walk to a lookout tower and the views are ok. Yes there is moss along the boardwalk but really not a big.

Cameron Highlands Jungle Trail No. 1

Reviewed By Jamie M - Derby, United Kingdom

As the 3 commenters below have written the trail has officially been closed but can still be climbed:
At the bottom - follow the right hand fork in the road uphill towards the water works. Before reaching the water tanks are some wooden steps on the right with red and white tape at the top. Don't go up these steps but instead bear left down a track which leads to a few scruffy buildings. As you get to the buildings you will see a large red sign written in Malaysian with a small laminated sheet saying 'No entry forest reserve'. Go right past this sign and follow the path along the fence of the water works. There are 2 tracks into the wood the far side of the stream with more big red notices and barbed wire. At the second of these the barbed wire has been ripped down and moved out the way so you can do the trail. Crossing the stream is a little challenging but can be done without getting your feet wet by crossing using the pipe and damaged fence.
Once past the barbed wire the track is excellent and easy to follow.
At the top, after skirting round the towers there is a black gate that you have to climb to get out. This is not challenging at all.
As described below it is worth arranging transport to meet you at the top to save the long walk down, there are no taxis there.

There is a cost of 6 ringget to enter but it is well worth it. A lot of fun going back in time. Being older I remember a lot of the things here. Also a lot of fun watching the younger people get a laugh at the things here.

Cameron Bharat Tea Estate

Reviewed By gimboeek - London, United Kingdom

Easily accessible on the road side towards Tanah Rata. Car Park, few shops on the side selling tourist things. Heaving during CNY but was quite quiet after. We had some nice short bread and a cup of tea in the cafe. You can climb down a few steps into the plantation along a fenced route. There seem to be some irritating tourists who can't obey rules and clamber over the rails to get between the tea bushes for photos. We had the masala tea. Enjoyable stop.

A hidden gem on the way back from the BOH Tea Plantation
The temple is spotlessly clean and the golden statues very impressive
We were fortunate enough to visit in glorious Sunshine which added to the experience
There were no other visitors whilst we were there and the place exuded peace and tranquility
There is no charge for visiting, but there are various collection boxes for donations, which we were happy to make
An excellent end to our half day Countryside Tour

Love the place especially their herbs garden. The rosemary is taller than me! They are selling fat succulents there at RM2.12 / pot. Many other plants are on sale too. With a RM5 / Adult entrance ticket, this is a garderner's paradise.

Cameron Highlands Trail No. 10

Reviewed By Kiwisflythecoop - Pukekohe, New Zealand

We did this track starting at H2O apartment end. Nice track that is reasonably formed, good shoes are recommended as can be slippery in places. Good view when you get to the pylon towards Tanah Rata and then if you look up there is another trail to the top viewing area. We read that it's best to go back the way you came, but as we had time we carried on down the ridge to the sub station and then back to town, approx 10km from start to finish. We enjoyed the walk back. If you decide to start from the sub station end the track is along the fence on the right as you come down the road. Our photo shows the pylon you get to, this was taken from the sub station.

Big Red Strawberry Farm

Reviewed By Malaysiantraveller68 - kuala lumpur

There are many other strawberry farms on Camerons but this was perhaps the most commercialized with a large choice of strawberry-based food & drinks and a big dining area that is still being enlarged, together with a sizeable shop and numerous play-machines for the kids.
Had a light lunch there. Enjoyed the strawberry drink which wasn't too sweet. Thought that my friend's yoghurt with strawberries and honey tasted a bit odd though.
Got some nice photos of the strawberries being grown in pots there as well as the lovely lettuce (hydroponics) and other plants/flowers there.

Gunung Brinchang

Reviewed By PurnimaJain - Bengaluru, India

*) Did it as a part of Eco Cameron Travel & Tours - Full Day Experience Tour.
*) A dead end road - that has telephone towers and a old rusted watch/observatory tower to take a view of the highlands. There is no view as such but just tress all over. Gets crowded also, as the watch tower has steep steps and can accommodate 5-6 people at a time
