10 Things to do in Saint Julian's That You Shouldn't Miss

August 23, 2021 Tonie Szymanski

Saint Julian's is a popular vacation spot on the coast of Malta. The small town successfully blends its fishing village charm with its tourist center. Latin architecture, such as Spinola Palace, built in 1688, and the Old Parish Church are popular historical sites. Divers will enjoy exploring shipwrecks via the Divewise Center.  The renovated Paceville district, a former military haunt in the 1930s, is now the hub of Saint Julian's nightlife with an array of restaurants, bars, and clubs.

To rate an entire location is something that I woukd find difficult to put into words. However, Spinola Bay serves a welcome along the lines of Mediterranean meets British harbour. The mix of old and new, abundant collection of restaurants and cafes, and the multicultural assortment of both visitors, workers and locals alike is enchanting. All built in a fishing village atmosphere. Not to be overlooked when visiting Malta.

A lovely historical church by the see. Balluta bay is one of the most picturesque place in Malta between Sliema and Saint Julian. We enjoyed listening to Christmas carols before they brought the representation of Baby Jesus to the altar then we attended the mass that was in Maltese; people were very friendly and it was a nice experience.
