Pindamonhangaba is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, located in the Paraíba valley, between the two most active production and consumption regions in the country, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It is accessible by the Via Dutra (BR-116 – SP-60 highway) at the 99th km. This place name comes from the Old Tupi language meaning where hooks are made or, according to a different interpretation, where the river bends.

In the past it was a wonderful place to view all the Paraíba Valley but (ridiculous!!) someone build a wall to "protect" a antenna! Stay away from the sellers too. Better stop before this place (half a mile or so) before arriving, with also a good view and no one there!

The trip was worth it for the view. You may see fifteen cities if the weather allows. However, the place is crowded with tourist stores (not very nice ones) and TV/radio antennas, blocking parts of the view. We had trouble enjoying or taking a picture of the sunset.

O bosque costuma estar sempre bem cuidado, mas na minha última visita o mato estava alto e o lago dos peixes bem sujo. Recentemente liberaram a entrada de cães, sendo que devem estar com a guia. Achei ótimo! As pessoas devem se atentar e levar sacolinha, caso o seu animalzinho faça necessidades e possam recolher. Ótima escolha para passear no fim da tarde.

Interesting museum. Lots of pieces from the "Revolução Constitucionalista de 1932", slavery time, ... It's not so big but worth a visit.

O mercado Shibata é o grande atrativo, lojas ancora como Riachuelo, Americanas, Polo Play e Subway.
Praça de Alimentação com muitas opções de fast food e também diversão para crianças.

A Fazenda fica bem longe, porém o acesso não é difícil pois é de terra batida ou pequenas pedras, é possível ir de carro ou moto. É preciso pagar R$ 20 por carro para parar o carro lá dentro, por isso muitas pessoas deixam o carro na estrada e entram pela cerca. Possui um templo hare-krisha, é possível participar das atividades deles, ou apenas olhar por curiosidade. Há também loja de roupas de tecidos natureza e de comidas vegetarianas/veganas. O espaço é enorme, e as cachoeiras e rios são muito gostosos. Bem gelados pois a maioria é coberto pelas árvores.

Parque natural, mas também com uma pegada cultural e esportiva. As trilhas são seguras e convidativas. Há muita informação disponível sobre as espécies de plantas e animais.O local é muito utilizado para pesquisas e não é à toa, tudo muito cuidado e conservado. Existe controle de acesso e agendamento de horário para visitação.

A Matriz fica bem no centro da cidade e chamada atenção de qualquer um que passa por ela. Bonita por dentro e por fora possui grande importância para a história da cidade.

Has a interesting view of "Bosque da Princesa" and is a very beatfull archtetural structure, but....
Unfortunately this is not a very nice place to visit with family or friends like a art/museum, is not a museum or historic art place, is just a place with some minimal local arts and personal things (gifts) of the Geraldo Alckmin.

O espaço é amplo, possui diversos pneus, uma kombi velha, cabine telefônica para servir de obstáculo. Há várias opções para a brincadeira. O funcionários são agradáveis e explicam de maneira claro como proceder para ter uma brincadeira divertida e segura.
