Solliden Park

May 15 - Sept 15. 11 am - 6 pm

These palace gardens are beautifully maintained to royal standards. The collection of trees, shrubs and plants is a garden-lovers dream. The location is magnificent. As well as the maintained gardens, there are also extensive and beautiful nature trails where there is a sense of untamed nature. One of these trails leads in about 15 minutes to Borgholm Castle which is well worth a visit. Together, these two sites would almost fill a day. The Palace gardens also have a quaint restaurant that serves good food, as well as some craft shops.

Borgholms Slott

800 years of Swedish history are on display at this beautiful castle.

Most impressive! The magnificent ruin is nothing short of a must see when in Borgholm, or on Öland for that matter. Walking distance from Borgholm town (and less parking problems by doing so). It is one of the must interesting and impressive ruins of the historic Swedish age to be seen outside of Stockholm. We can recommend taking a guided tour to get the whole fascinating story of the old castle.

Solliden Slott

A glimpse into the royal life. Absolutely fantastic. Also, we visited when an event was on, had a nice afternoon. Calculate two to three hours.
