The Three Countries Museum is the only museum in Europe to consistently focus on three countries. This unusual cultural treasure is situated in the border triangle, surrounded by the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Swiss Jura Mountains. This is just 3km from town so could definitely walk. However there is plenty of walking and when you are there nice walking trails. The castle is well presented with some work going on in one section. It hasn't been fully restored which adds to its charm. The views are fantastic.
