The title says much-
I love this place and what it represents- so much history and such meaning for the history of the Jewish people.
So why isn't it the major tourist attraction that it deserves to be?
This ancient burial ground of the premier sage of the Jewish Talmudic era, Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi, chose and was buried here. So why has this not become a focus of pilgrimage? Is it because scientists are not "100%" sure? Well read the text and the facts on the ground.
The caves are in disrepair somewhat and there were many flies swarming at the entrance to the rabbi's cave- disgraceful and disrespectful. A side room was being used to store food- fruits and vegetables. The actual location of the interment of the Rabbi and his wife is at the end of the cave and not even marked. What is the problem here?
There is a lot more to the place that the caves opposite the information kiosk, but few people get to those places.
A place that I love to visit; it's still a great place- I'm happy to bring others... but the presentation and upkeep leave a lot to be desired.

A fantastic place for climbing, coming with friends, and enjoying a great afternoon in the Jezreel valley. Easy to get and also great for kids. The team is helpful and very friendly. I recommend it to all ages!

I love this place. You walk in & are immediately greeted by the glorious smells of herbs and spices. All herbs, spices, teas, soup mixes, rice seasonings, etc. are piled up ready to be fragrantly sampled. The delightful staff is available to help you find whatever you could possible want! You can definitely find it all here! If this spice farm doesn't have it, it doesn't exist or you don't need it anyway! If you are a halvah "junkie" like I am close to becoming, beware of the halvah sample table near the door! It's easy to sample them all then buy a kilo or two of your favorites (I guarantee there will be more than one favorite.) You can also find kitchen tools and accessories to help you get the most from your spicy purchase! The tea blends make fun gifts and now my family/friends in the states specifically ask me to pick up tea for them.

As in most Israeli national parks there is a small entrance fee. The site dates from Roman era with a variety of sites within the park. There are some very well preserved mosaics including some in the Synagogue. There are rest rooms & gift shop. The brochure with your entrance fee is very good and helps in explaining the different ruins with in the park. Recommend. Hope this helps.

It is always a good place for short and easy walk along the stream in the shade. It is wonderful in spring time when the wild flowers are at the peak and the amount of water in the stream is at highest level. Along the stream there is a pass allowing strollers and elderly people to walk safely.

Winery is located in a village for the mentally handicapped allowing them to work in the winery as well as create arts and crafts which are for sale at the winery hereby contributing to society. Their whites are good. Reds better. Now they have another winery called maia for more Mediterranean style wines

The Maze in the Valley consists of two (and sometimes three, depending on season) mazes built from plants. You can go around in them, get lost, find yourself again and have great fun.

Took our grandkids on a Saturday. There are shaded areas for those waiting for a tour. Tours are headed by knowledable staff members who knows to interact with kids. There are several stations including feeding calves, milking cows, butter preparations and robotic milking. Kids loved the place

The statue is on a hill accessible by a very narrow winding road and there's not much there. If you have the time and it's on your way then go but i wouldn't mkae an effort to come here.

The room is very challenging. And it is very technological. We had the best time ever! I think it is the best one in Ramat Ishai.
