A friend and I are down here for our daughters softball tournaments. I found this restaurant on restaurant finder. It was beyond my expectations! Our server Candie was fantastic! She recommended the stew and chicken pot pie. My friend had the stew, I had the chicken pot pie. Absolutely delicious!! Not to mention the huge beer list. Dessert was very tasty! Well worth it! Decor is an added bonus. Definitely would recommend the rest of the team parents to try it, and you too! You will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely breakfast here, the coffee and drinks were great. We especially enjoyed the new variety of iced teas. We were also impressed with the range of breakfasts- and the food they delivered was really quite good. Our waitress also served us in Afrikaans, and we received great service.
Our only complaint would be the loud (and in our opinion an inadequate choice) music playing throughout the meal.
We did, however, enjoy the meal and appreciated the great service.

Recently dined at this restaurant with family on mine and my brothers travels,
Food was cold, waiters don't pay enough attention, after I complained to the female manager about the situation she continues to stare at me and seemed as though she was making remarks to her colleagues.
Not the kind of meal or attention I was looking for.

I was passing through from Welkom to Bethlehem on a sunny yet freezing cold day when I saw the sign for Mosterdsaadjie.
I have often been a bit disappointed with quaint little coffee shops far into the countryside, so I parked with some apprehension. Well, great was my surprise! That beautifully made front door is a hint of the Spirit of the house behind it - warm, welcoming, the old made new and often a blend of the old and the new.
They make a first class cappuccino too, with a great tasting grind; I forgot to ask what blend or brand they use. And they use fresh milk for the froth, not some weird tasting long life stuff as is all too often the case with a country cappy.
There was milk tart on special, which I can virtually never refuse. It was properly home made and flavourful. I sat outside at the concrete tables (very comfortable due to the plush cushioning!) and thoroughly enjoyed my break from the driving.
A small outbuilding has been made to look like it could be a prize doll's house, but I didn't check.
The only small niggle, from my point of view as a dad, is that the kids' play area offers only a few very rustic looking toys.
Overall, you can't really go wrong with a stop at this shop. In fact, if I lived in Bethlehem or Ficksburg or perhaps even further afield, I would take a drive to Mosterdsaadjie as an outing for the family. Or as an excuse to get a great cappuccino!

We decided to go to Panarottis because we fancied pizza amd were really disappointed.
As i wanted extra rocket on my pizza, and my husband didn't want it on his, the waitress suggested that they put his rocket on a separate plate for me. Great idea. But when our pizzas arrived, mine had no rocket, and my husband 's one had rocket but the chorizo that was supposed to be on his was given to me on a separate plate. When we questioned it, nothing was done to rectify.
The pizzas are full of sweet sauces, with hardly no cheese (R 25,95 if you want extra cheese) and the base is thick. Furthermore they are very expensive for the size and quality.
On top of it, the place was very noisy. There was a kids party in the restaurant when they have a whole kids playing section
We won't go back...

I hosted 14 colleagues at this eatery. We were allocated a room where we ate and conducted our meeting. I found that very professional. Meals were good. Service was not commensurate to the meals.
Was a pleasant experience though. We thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.
Safe parking. Internal ablutions.
A definite recommendation.
