Was there in early Aug for a stop en route to Sapporo. Makes a good stop for a otherwise uneventful 2.5 hour drive. This park is not like the flower farms in Furano/ Biei where the flowers were laid down nicely in orderly rows. Rather it was like a public park with many rose bushes around. There is also a small greenhouse that you can visit for a small fee. Located at the park was a restaurant and a small souvenir shop where you can buy find rose products.

Set out 810am back 315pm. Cost 6000. Included bus fishing bath and lunch.
Fishing part was fun but not easy to catch these fishes. Only 4 out 8 people caught small fishes. Tent was heated so not cold. If you go there by yourself fishing cost 1000 per person. Lunch can be ordered around 1000 to 1500 per person. Bath cost 500 if you do by yourself.
Winter is still beautiful like a paradise. We had a fun day. Saw other people were enjoying slide and snow bike slides cruising too.
From Sapporo you can take train then taxi to this lake -if you have 3 to 4 people sharing this can be a cheaper solution too.

北海道の鉄道はここ三笠と手宮の間に結ばれたのが最初。そんな歴史ある鉄道の町にしっかりとした鉄道展示施設があるのは嬉しい限りです。近年の大規模鉄道博物館と比べれば非常に小さくて展示車両も少し傷んではいますが、北海道の鉄道史を後世に伝えるべくいつまでも残って欲しい文化施設です。

The annual autumn festival of Kuriyama Temman Shrine, held every September 24th, attracts a great many visitors because it is the last autumn festival of the year in Hokkaido. More than 300 stalls are set up, and the entrance road to the shrine is thronged with visitors. One popular attraction is the plant market, which continues until late at night. On the 25th, a portable shrine is carried on foot through the town streets amid boisterous, rhythmic shouting by the people. The festival also includes events such as a ballad-singing show and dances.

北海道でシーズン最後のお祭りなので
北海道内を回っていた屋台が最後の稼ぎに回ってくるので
たくさんの屋台が出る。
栗山駅から栗山病院までの大通と
そこから栗山天満宮へ行く細い道が祭りの中心。
屋台だけではなく地元の店も出店していて
栗山コロッケなども食べられる。
天満宮では獅子舞の奉納などもある。
このエリア内は車の通行はもちろん駐車もできない。
駐車場は天満宮近くの栗山公園などに分散している。
天満宮の前にはめずらしく植木市のエリアもある。
時間はぐるり一回りするだけでも2時間は見た方がいい。
ベンチなど腰を下ろせるスペースは中央部にある小さな公園以外ほとんど無い。
トイレはＪＲ栗山駅がいい。
人通りも多いが大通の方は広いのでベビーカーでも大丈夫。
開催時期が広報などに出るのが例年遅くて、計画立てるのが大変。

Surrounded by forested hills, this outdoor collection of stunning pieces by Kan Yasuda is well worth a visit for anyone passing through Bibai. Just a few minutes off the highway (Sapporo to Asahikawa) it is very easily accessible.
Entry is free.
The site includes: numerous outdoor pieces; a collection of art housed upstairs in a quaint old wooden school building; and a pleasant café (in a separate building) with views to the grounds and several art installations. Don't miss climbing to the top of the small hill near the entrance - a surprise awaits those that do.
For great art in a beautiful natural setting, don't miss the Arte Piazza at Bibai.

I went there with my school. It looks like an abandoned park... The attractions are so old, some video games didn't worked.... The park stayed in the 80's without renew.....

国道12号を北に向かって走っていると、反対車線側にあるので進入しにくいはずなんですが、”楽市楽座”の看板につられて用事がないのにIN！
観光案内所と特産品販売、アンモナイト展示コーナー、ラーメン屋さんだけではありません。
隣接する食の蔵の棟”楽市楽座”には通路を挟んで、地元の新鮮野菜や果物などの農産物市場やサンドイッチ、ハンバーガー屋さん、焼き鳥屋さん、ソフトクリーム屋さん、ジェラート屋さんなどがズラッと並んでいるので、目と鼻の保養だけでは留まらず、焼き鳥などで一休みしました。
三笠の道の駅一帯は、他に天然温泉、パークゴルフ場、コンビニも含む集合施設になっています。

しのつ湖を背にした広い敷地内に、温泉・公園・キャンプ場などと一体になっている盛りだくさんな道の駅です。
館内には、地場産メニューの豊富なレストランや特産品ショップ、パティオ付きの洒落た休憩所、温泉への連絡通路、トイレなど。
屋外には地元の新鮮農産物直売所が並んでいます。
公園の小高い頂上部の展望台からは広大な石狩平野が一望できます！
手ぶらで利用可能なキャンプ場、水陸両用ボートが待機するしのつ湖、ゴルフ場やパークゴルフ場も備え、”遊ぶ・食べる・見る”のエキスが集約されているような道の駅です！！

層雲峡へ行く途中、国道12号沿いに宮島沼の案内標識を見つけたので、数十年前に白鳥がひしめき合っていたことを思い出して懐かしくなり、ちょっと足を延ばしました。
さすがに、湖面にはマガモが1羽・・だけ。
見た目は変わりない風景にホッと癒されましたが、夏場は背の高い葦に阻まれて湖面があまりよく見えないことに初めて気が付きました(>_<)。
傍らの説明板によると、開拓時代に宮島沼が誕生した頃からみると、近年の開発につれて湖水は過栄養状態となり、面積は4分の3に減少、水深も急激に浅くなっている・・水質・水性植物への効果を図り、沼底の泥を除去して、肥料化し農地に還元する取り組みを検討中とのこと。
自然堺の生態系維持と人間の共存の難しさを考えさせられました。

明治・大正・昭和の3期にわたって料亭旅館から温泉旅館の日本庭園として地元の人たちに親しまれた跡地に、20年の荒廃期間を経て庭園だけが復元されている純和風の公園です。
中の島のある池の周囲に巡らされた散策路沿いには、あずまや、木陰の長椅子、滝、茶室、太鼓橋などが整備され、池泉回遊式庭園の趣きがあります。
ちょうど白とピンクの蓮の花が開花していて可憐さが何とも言えませんでしたが、池の面積からみるとやや繁殖し過ぎかも。
玉泉館の名称の基となったという、鉱泉ボーリングの遺構を捜して写真を撮っていると、庭のメンテをしていた係の人が、実際とは異なる場所に記念風に設置したとのこと・・ガクッ((+_+))。
