Good for those who love to shop. Located in a very scenic location, with Mt. Fuji in the backdrop. For those who are here just to explore or for window shopping, there are a number of eateries which should keep you busy. The food court has a variety of options, really liked the dessert parlor in the food court that serves huge cotton candies or ice cream cones wrapped in a cloud of cotton candy. Even though it is situated a little out of the way from the town center there are free shuttle buses to and fro from Gotemba station which makes it very accessible.

Though this tour is in Japanese, there is an English audio guide and information booklet. Our guide, Kobayashi-San was also excellent, she was very accommodating of the fact that we didn't speak any Japanese, extremely patient, and so friendly! This is a large distillery, so it's fascinating to see inside the production and bottling facilities. The whole tour lasted about 45 minutes, followed by a tasting session. The gift shop also has some great items, including unique glasses.

Should Fuji-San be visable and one is in the area then it is definitely worth making the detour to come here because this park offers the most amazing possibilities to take glorious photos. There are plenty of statures and pagodas offering perfect motives with Fuji-san in the background. The chalky white stupa at the far end houses some of Buddha's ashes. This place can be crowded, we were fortunate and it was not so
