East Gwillimbury is a town on the East Holland River in the Regional Municipality of York. It is part of the Greater Toronto Area of southern Ontario, in Canada. It was formed by the amalgamation of the Township of East Gwillimbury with all the previously incorporated villages and hamlets within the township. The main centres in East Gwillimbury are the villages of Holland Landing, Queensville, Sharon, and Mount Albert. The Civic Centre (municipal offices) are located along Leslie Street in Sharon. The northernmost interchange of Highway 404 is at the North edge of East Gwillimbury, just south of Ravenshoe Road. The hamlets of Holt and Brown Hill are also within town limits.

I visited Sharon Temple as a member of a cycling group. My expectation was a quick tour of one historic building (The Temple) . The Temple site consists of numerous restored buildings from the 1800's all of which complimented and enhanced the history of Sharon Temple. The bonus was the detailed and interesting tour by David an intern at the site. Only a short distance from Toronto and highly recommended. T.C.

Beautiful trail for walking and cycling all seasons. If you're fortunate you can observe blue herons in the river. Very easy trail to walk or cycle and a peaceful departure from the busy urban life close by. Well worth a visit and there is plenty of free parking.

This farm very hospitality and more,and more popular,special for family with kids. Big new parking,new store,caffeteria,ice cream,animal zoo,train,activity....just wanderfull! Farm have honey,fruits,vegetable,jem,homemade muffins, Friday,sat,farmers bread! Very good garlic! Early september start strawberry againe! I see kindergarden,summer camp groups,come to visit and very much enjoy.... Nice to see that.. Zoo very intersting! Train fan! Ice cream njamy...! Very recomend. Enjoy summer with kids!

The SilverCity Theatre in Newmarket is a wonderful destination for movie-goers who might just want to catch the latest flick, or for those who might wish to enjoy dinner and a movie. The theatre is surrounded by a number of restaurants to suit almost any taste and budget, and even the theatre itself offers a variety of hot snacks, candy, pop, and popcorn. Moreover, the theatre presents a wonderfully modern and exciting atmosphere that will captivate young children, and it includes a very well-appointed XSCAPE entertainment centre (i.e. arcade). Finally, as with virtually all SilverCity Theatres, there is plenty of parking all around the theatre. We are very pleased to have SilverCity Theatre in Newmarket.
