Zona Arqueologica de Yohualichan

Reviewed By carri626 - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Yohualichan is an archaeological site with just a handful of ruins; five, to be exact. I've seen my share of ruins, both big and small. Generally, they fascinate me as I imagine people building them, and then I imagine the civilizations that lived among them. These particular rtins, though small, are neat because of their unique pattern and design, similar to El Tajín in Veracruz. They are very much alike, which is neat because there are no others like them!!
They are located outside of Cuetzalan about 20 minutes. You can take a taxi, or public transportation, which is much cheaper, but VERY bumpy!! That's how I got there, and I believe it was 10 pesos per person which is incredibly reasonable. This isn't the recommended option if you don't speak Spanish, as you'll likely need a little help.
These ruins are worth it, though small. They are very unique!!

We dared to reach this Botanical Garden by public transportation, big mistake!. Public transportation does not fit schedules, and drop me off far from the place. I walked on the highway in the rain for 30 minutes, not funny!. But it worth it, the place is nice.

Rutas a Todo Cuetzalan

Reviewed By samcan8 - Clearwater, Canada

This sweet little museum is a lovely spot to visit and a great place to practice your spanish. There is a small collection of huipils and the my guide explained each display nicely, in spanish! If you go there before you visit the market you will be a little better informed about the weaving and making of huipils. You can also buy bufundos and huipils on site. They are really beautifully done! The restaurant, Los Milagroitos, is above the museum and is the perfect spot to go after your visit.

La Poza Pata de Perro

Reviewed By Gigi0395 - Mexico City, Mexico
