I visited Amaze with my family to do the Tesla escape room. We liked it so much we went back the same day to do the Cabaret Voltaire room! The styling and decoration of the rooms is outstanding. So much attention has been paid to details and it really pays off. The Tesla room is complex but allows players to work on different things at the same time. We escaped with one minute to spare with four of us playing, so definitely a good test for the brain! Had we known, I wish we had done the Cabaret room first as it was a little easier and we escaped after 30 minutes. But we loved both rooms anyway! The owner (I've forgotten his name!) was working there and chatted to us a lot about Calgary, about the games and even about his methods for building them. It definitely added to our experience. He also had his gorgeous dog in reception which just made the whole day even better!! Such a cutie :) We had a brilliant time, and left feeling like we'd achieved something awesome! Good work Amaze - you've got it just right.

Calgary Stampede

Every July, millions of people come to Calgary's Stampede Park to take part in one of the world's largest rodeos and other popular activities such as chuckwagon racing and agricultural shows. The event's origins date back to 1912, when American Guy Weadick, a successful trick roper, got support to host an event called "Stampede" to celebrate the "disappearing" Old West. Since then, the event has grown drastically and has evolved into a celebration of the Old West, while reflecting the modern, multicultural aspects of the city.

I have done many driving tours and campings throughout British Columbia and Alberta in 2019 and the Best for the Year is the Calgary Stampede 2019 in Calgary, Alberta. It is now an Iconic Grand Event and Celebration in Calgary and World Famous. The ten days Rodeo, Exhibition and Celebration provide lots of fun and joyful activities. We enjoyed the City Street Parade and Festival albeit we could had better weather. The Rodeo Shows and Exhibtions were great and a must see and do. The Fair Ground and Food Street are great places for exciting rides and yummy BBQ Ribs and Food. The Evening Show at the Rodeo Stadium were great and spectacular plus the colourful Firework Display. A visit to the City and especailly Chinatown is interesting - surprisingly nice Chinese Food. A must vist place and evemt if one has not done so - Yahoo !

Lougheed House

Lougheed House is a National & Provincial Historic site, Museum and gardens located in Calgary's Beltline community. This 14,000 sq.ft sandstone mansion was built in 1891 by Senator James Lougheed and his wife Lady Isabella Lougheed. Completely restored, today it is the Beltline community's hub of cultural happenings and programs offering preservation and interpretation of this home, the Lougheed family and early Calgary. We also offer spectacular flower and vegetable gardens (free), weddings and events, and indoors (with paid admission) we offer self-guided and audio tours, historic interpreters (if booked in advance) and year round revolving exhibits, concerts and happenings produced with our cultural collaborators.

Central Memorial Park

Reviewed By BenLar137 - Calgary, Canada

This is one of Calgary's best downtown parks: gorgeous floral beds, beautiful paths, some huge, gorgeous trees, lots of benches, so inviting and very popular with locals and visitors. The character of the park has changed a bit of late, as our Health Services has opened a safe injection site nearby, and often their clientele do spend some time in the park. On today's visit, it was early, and I didn't see anybody, but a few weeks ago, there were several around, and one (likely very zonked out of his mind) started to damage the flower beds - security came around to take care of it. Provision, which is in the park and one of Calgary's finer restaurants, has mentioned that their clients are feeling a bit uncomfortable at times. I don't think people are unsafe here, and it is important for regular citizens to continue to use the park. There is security around, so everybody should be able to enjoy the park and coexist.
