10 Specialty lodgings in Veneto: Best hotel deals for 2023

April 27, 2023 Margarita Chappel

One of Italy’s most visited regions, Veneto in the country’s northeast was independent for centuries until 1797, when Napoleon invaded. It then bounced among French, Austrian and Italian domination. Bordered by some of Europe’s most beautiful elements (the Adriatic Sea to its east, Lake Garda to its west, the Dolomites to its north, and the Po River to its south), Veneto is known for agriculturally rich valleys flowing down from Alps and for important cities like Venice, Verona and Padua.

Great location and service

Reviewed By Eliska03

Hotel located right in the center of Verona. Very friendly service, our room was beautifully decorated in traditional historical Italian style. Lady at the reception was very helpful with tips of where to go, also regarding restaurants and proactively informed us about opera and offered help with booking tickets, should we want to go. If again in Verona, we would surely come back to this hotel!

Wow!

I stayed in Trevino for a couple of days after a work trip and this was recommended by local colleagues. This place is stunning - I have stayed in luxury hotels around the world and Villa Oriani would easily hold its own. The welcome was very warm, the room I was in lacked for nothing and the bathroom was superb. Breakfast was lovely and as a solo traveller I felt incredibly comfortable. Location is superb and I was easily able to explore the lovely city of Treviso on foot. My regret with the Villa Oriani was that I only stayed one night - I would have liked more.

Weekend Trip

Reviewed By thehoust

Firstly, the name of the hotel is Santa Marina and when booking you are not told its a separate building or name, so finding it makes it even more difficult. Upon checking in we were greeted by a fella who looked like he'd had a bad day, scruffy and abrupt, with no warm welcome or offer of advice or assistance. Rooms were clean, but noisy and away from the main hotel. Breakfast is definitely not worth getting up for and place looks like it's still in the 1970's. However, location is great and only 5 mins walk from Rialto bridge and river taxi. Defintley not worth the £580 we paid for 2 x nights!

Hotel Miura

Wow!!! We love it.

Reviewed By erdipkr

We stayed at Miura Hotel for 10 days on vacation when we did it for sunbathing in Gardasee. It takes 20 minutes by car to Sirmione. During our vacation, we ate lunch at different places each time. Thus, we had the opportunity to try many restaurants in the area. We ate all of our dinners at Il Grillo in Miura Hotel. Compared to the restaurants in the area, they have very good food. The balconies of the rooms are very useful for smokers. Cleaning is fine. The staff is very, very friendly. They try to help in every way. Nicola, Mateo, Eva and everyone else are very friendly and sincere. For the first time in my 10-year European holiday adventure, I encountered such warm staff. When leaving the hotel, the 3 bottles of wine they prepared for us was one of the most precious gifts I received. Miura Hotel is a very good option in terms of price and performance. The only thing I would say negatively is the bathroom was a bit small and the TV channels were always in Italian.
