The Arena Franz Ferdinand Nassfeld is directly located at the Millennium Express in the ski- and mountain-area Nassfeld. The active hotel has 144 rooms, of which 60 are spacious family rooms ideally equipped for the needs of active summer- and winter-sportsman. Families feel at home as couples do. There is enough space to be side by side and with each other in an uncomplicated manner. Besides a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, all rooms offer a spacious sport space, where the whole sport equipment can be stowed easily. A varied culinary offer with various regional specialities from the Alpe-Adria-region as well as a lounge area with bar make the Arena Franz Ferdinand a place to come together. Our lifestyle hotel offers the highest climbing wall in a hotel lobby with a height of 15 meters. On top of that we have a boulder wall and an ample indoor playground.

Reviewed By Martina ŠThis was our second stay at this hotel and both times we were thrilled! A very original and modern hotel, ideally located a short walk from the main cable car. Very nice staff, specially the red haired lady at the reception (unfortunately I didn't catch her name). Each room has a room for storing and drying ski equipment. There is also a sink in this room and a door to the toilet. Another door leads to the bedroom where there is a comfortable bed and plenty of space to store things. From the bedroom there is a door to the shower room. The hotel restaurant offers a wide range of food and everything is very tasty. The hotel also has its own bar, two saunas, climbing wall, etc. Slight cons that if removed/improved would make the stay even more enjoyable: - The shower only runs off the wall and if you shower a little longer it leaks into the bedroom. I would have appreciated a hand-held shower hose where the water could be better regulated. - Given the large number of visitors from the Czech Republic, I would appreciate at least one or two Czech programmes on the TV. - The restaurant often lacked descriptions for the dishes. - Tap water for dinner could be free. - The hotel has a total of 4 dry saunas and 2 steam rooms. The dry saunas are all the same. I would have appreciated if some were heated to a lower temperature or somehow scented. The steam sauna is more of a humid hot sauna. I didn't see any steam in there. Anyway, despite these shortcomings, we enjoyed our stay to the max and will definitely be back again.

Very welcoming hotel Nice and clean
Reviewed By DolinamanHad to travel to that area for business reasons and so we only stayed one night. Very warm welcome from the lady owner. Nice, clean, modern room and bathroom. Couldn't fault it. It's a big hotel - quite a surprise really. All recently renovated. Evening dinner was 'acceptable' OK really. It's a set menu for ½ board. Breakfast was very good indeed. Would stay again.

Staff Helga and Monica were really friendly and helpful. Included in the price was breakfast, bus to the cable car and mountains, discount on the cable car, and a cab to the station. Location in the centre of Mallnitz was perfect. Breakfast was a simple, but tasty help yourself buffet. Highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay again. :)

Best hotel in Kötschach
Reviewed By PerfectrisottoI have had the pleasure of visiting Kötschach-Mauthen many times over the last 20 years and have stayed in most of the hotels (some, like the Hotel Post, having since closed). The Peppermill is the best of them all! Yvonne is a charming and friendly host and she is backed up by excellent staff. I had a very clean, bright and airy room with a fab shower and a super view of the mountains. I shall certainly return.

Reviewed By 296ninabHatten das 125m2 Apartment mit 3 Schlafzimmern, einem riesen Bad , sehr großer Wohnküche und einer super geräumigen Terrasse mit Blick zum See und gemütlicher Sitzecke bzw 2 Sonnenliegen. Absolut modern eingerichtet und von abgewohnt keine Spur! Einchecken übers Haupthaus Marolt, was aber kein Problem ist, weil man e überall mit dem Auto hinkann! Im Apartment fehlte es an kaum was , nur Zucker und extra Müllsäcke. (Salz, Pfeffer, Kaffeefilter, genug Geschirr, Besteck, Schneidbretter, Messer, Pfannen und Töpfe alles vorhanden). Bei der Sitzecke am Balkon waren sogar weisse Tischtücher und Aschenbecher! Zucker hat uns die nette Dame vom Personal am selben Tag noch vom Haupthaus gebracht. Die Balkontür hatten wohl die Vorgänger etwas grober behandelt und konnte nicht mehr ganz geschlossen werden, aber auch da war innerhalb einiger Stunden jemand da, der es in Ordnung brachte. Eine Bitte an künftige Mieter: Leute, bitte gebt kein Geschirr mit Essensresten in den Geschirrspüler… eure Nachfolger werden es euch danken, wenn das Teil nicht verstopft ist und abfliessen kann!!! Was erwartet Euch noch: Der Weg zum hauseigenen Steg ist gerade mal 15 m, es gibt ausreichend Liegen und dass man dabei durch den Gastgarten der Pizzeria muss störte uns nicht die Bohne, weil diese e vor 12 noch nicht offen hat und die Kellner es am Abend ohnehin gewöhnt sind. Der Durchgang ist auch breit genug. Wir haben’s uns besonders leicht gemacht und sind in dem Fall vor dem nach Hause gehen halt noch auf ein Getränk… Zum Thema Lärm in der Nacht: am Klopeinersee ist bekanntlich immer sehr viel los und wenn man einen eher leichten Schlaf hat, sollte man hier so und so nicht zentral buchen sondern ausserhalb! Anyway, wir fanden es nicht so schlimm: der 15jährige hatte das Zimmer zur Promenade gewählt und mit geschlossenen Fenstern auch durchgeschlafen! Alles in allem: Wir waren schon im Haupthaus und jetzt in der Residenz und können einen Aufenthalt bei Marolt nur empfehlen! Preis - Leistung passt aus unserer Sicht absolut!!

Reviewed By Birgit FDie Hütten sind ein Traum und lassen keine Wünsche offen. Sehr sauber, alles da, was man braucht und herrlich in der Natur, Erholung pur. Das Frühstück für aktuell 15 Euro pro Person ist jeden Cent wert. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sind sehr kompetent, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Genau so wie Christof, der Chef. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, sehr, sehr lecker, ein Traum. FAZIT: Man fühlt sich rundum wohl dort und kommt sehr gerne wieder

Reviewed By wuifbauaMy company had a conference at the Stift St. Georgen so we stayed a night in the hotel. The Stift is located in the middle of nowhere out in the country side. A five minutes walk to the Längsee is definetly worth it since the water is 1a drinking water quality, but around 16° Celsius since the snow is melting now ;-). The rooms are comfortable and efficient, nothing special (I like the hard matress!), unfortunately no AC and no mosquito nets. What really hit me was the restaurant - food, view, ambience! The inhouse Stift-bakery produces wonderful different kinds of bread and sweets and the best handcrafted buns I have ever eaten before!!! The breakfast (local and seasonal ingredients) was just perfect and the best start into my day. Lunch and dinner are also in buffet form. The quality, the freshness, the taste and the display of the food was just great, typical local carinthian food (which I LOVE!). Nice and quick staff. All in all the Restaurant is definetely worth a try. After dinner you can relax with a coffee or some wine on the porch with a great view of the surrounding areas (pics) or you choose the patio and inhale the smell and ideas of the last centuries.
