Lovely scenery here and a pretty waterfall. Lots of walking. Came here as part of an optional tour on my river cruise.

Never seen a chinese temple like this. Gothic style like a cathedral yet, all the statues are chinese. The place is not a tourist hot site, so it’s relatively quiet when I went. i wrote more on my personal blog magictraveljournal.com

Beautiful campus. It is so big. Right by a huge lake, which is surrounded by gorgeous colorful lights at night. In any other city, the lights alone would be an attraction! We heard that in the spring, the streets are lined with cherry blossoms, and it is a huge local attraction. In the summer, people will swim in the lake.

This landmark, although not the original, has been built in the traditional pagoda style architecture. It is surrounded by a large park, which in itself is very pleasant, especially in the summer when it is hot. There are ponds and even cooling mist sprays in the shady areas. Once inside the tower, you walk up a flight of stairs to each level, and each level has beautiful decorative walls and ceilings. There are places you can buy souvenirs, I think it is on the third level. Once you reach the top, it is an open style balcony which gives panoramic views of the city of Wuhan. I was there in early September 2019. I found it very enjoyable. Many Chinese people, couples and families visit. A great introduction to Chinese culture.
