Scone And St Martins Parish Church

Reviewed By Ennie123 - Scotland, United Kingdom

A beautiful church in the village of Scone that is well worth a visit. Easy to locate once in the village and a short walk to get too if you are arriving in the village by bus. If you arrive by car there is a carpark close to the church and it borders the start of the Quarrymill Walk. Take the time to have a wander around the church and the area surrounding the church. A smaller church but it takes you back in time and has such a quiet and peaceful ambience. Lovely building with a history encapulating the village with beautiful glass windows, pews and early 1900s architecture.

Dunkeld Cathedral

Reviewed By rayp775 - Ipswich, United Kingdom

Just off the main street and next to the river this is well worth a visit to enjoy the history that Dunkeld has played in past times. The main central area is undergoing renovation but the Bell Tower and Altar area well worth exploring, There is a small museum area providing some historical information to add to the visit. Free access, with donations gratefully accepted to carry on with the restorations.

St John the Baptist Scottish Episcopal Church

Reviewed By sharonrobertson - Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Popped in to Perth on a day-trip and came across this church which was open to the public. Architecture is amazing I loved the old feel of the church whilst we were there bells were dinging...you can hit the bells to have a shot we just let the wee boy belt them out whilst his dad wandered off looking at it. The windows are amazing and the history of it too. I would recommend to pay a visit in any language as there are A4 sized cards with the history in various languages incl.German, Italian French etc.
