Reviewed By shooa2022We visited Amritara Aura Spa and Resort recently. The day we were scheduled to check in, our flight got super delayed and we couldn’t make it to the resort. We asked for a refund for one night but they couldn’t as they have a very strict cancellation policy but the staff were very understanding and helpful and said they would upgrade our rooms for the remaining nights. It is a beautiful place with lovely tropical gardens and landscaping. We wake up to the chirping of the birds and the fresh sea air! The resort is well maintained, rooms are super clean, comfy and tastefully designed. We could spend days at the this lovely place without even having to step out! The restaurant has excellent staff and the food is good. The manager and chef were very open to feedback. We had a few suggestions about breakfast as the South Indian food in the buffet wasn’t up to the mark. The chef took time out to come talk to us and was very receptive to the feedback. The spa has great ambience too. Overall great experience and would highly recommend for a quiet, calm, serene holiday!

Reviewed By niranjanb106Cons: 1. The property has constant electricity fluctuations both during the day and during the night as well. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere at the time of booking. Speaking to the workers there they mentioned that it’s been a constant issue. 2. There were water supply issues during my stay. Being a beach place this was absolutely critical. 3. The pool water was extremely dirty all the 4 days of my stay. Even after reminding them multiple times they never bothered to clean them. 4. Breakfast is below par with limited options. Don’t consider this please. 5. Extremely late and poor room service. Hospitality wasn’t upto the mark. 6. The bathtub want cleaned at all. Had to keep reminding them for 2 straight days. 7. Parking at the resort is not available, and it’s placed somewhere else. This was, again, not mentioned during the time of booking. 8. The television setup box wasn’t working and I had to continually request them to get it sorted. Absolutely negligent behaviour. Pros: 1. Room comes with a sea facing view and is spacious enough.

Reviewed By SvatkaaI had stayed in Wellness Inn for a month and have nothing but amazing experience. Our rooms were cleaned so often and were so spacious. Close to the beach. The restaurant was just amazing. Staff of the Joy food ( mainly Akash) were killing themselves to meet all our demands ( Indian specials, Thai, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, very delicious vegan meals, cardamon tea, ginger tea with coconut milk etc...we were so demanding!). Restaurant was clean and the food very tasty. Like it wouldn't be enough there was a coffee shop with a very yummy coffee and selling every day different vegan desserts! I had nothing but positive experience.

They have a small fridge and kettle in the room. We found some insects on the bed. Linen was clean. Breakfast is average. Restaurant is overpriced. They charged 100/- for a box of ice which was given in the room! Worst experience was the AC not working properly in the delux rooms. We had a hard time finding a better room. The staff is helpful but slow.

Great value for money
Reviewed By Maxd9619I was fortunate enough to meet some amazing people here, not just other travellers, but also the staff. I found the staff to be incredibly accomodating and helpful, I also found them to be incredibly fair. In terms of value for money, this is the best hostel I’ve stayed in thus far in India, and many of the travellers I met here agree (although the high season will push prices up). The beds are comfy and the hostel is quite clean. The chef currently working here (there is a restaurant on site) has over ten years of experience and accordingly, has developed his own style of dishes. I recommend the egg fried rice. The village is quite peaceful and the hostel is quite secluded. This place would be perfect for those seeking all these things - good food, good company, budget travel and clean comfortable rooms. Also, the co-work space is quite good.

very nice little resort near Mandrem
Reviewed By GYULAFranceThis hotel belongs to the Stonewood resort chain. We stayed with them in Gokarna, Ashverm and Mandrem. They are all very nice and clean little resorts. The rooms are very comfortable (some issues with hot water from time to time though) and spotless. The cleaning is done every day, they provide a lot of clean beach towels and bed linen every time you ask. The AC is working properly. They have a generator. The pool is clean (but shallow) and there are flowers everywhere. In Mandrem the staff is very professional and helpful, always willing to help and understanding English. The only point which really needs improvement in this resort is the restaurant. Food is below average and location on the road is not very pleasant. Anyway I highly recommend this place.
