Reviewed By Katherine DWe stayed here in Sept 2019. This hotel was very clean and in a great location to visit Zhangjiajie. We took a DiDi to the park front entrance, although you could technically walk it. Food was pretty good - for breakfast it was a big buffet with both Chinese and typical American food, so you could sample a bunch of stuff. We didn't eat lunch or dinner here because it was pretty expensive, and there were good restaurants within walking distance downtown. Highly recommend!

Reviewed By 东江湖丑小姐入住期间只见了3个工作人员前台2个服务员1个，没有见到保安，感觉很不安全，很阴森的感觉，床底有很多异物，很恶心的是见到了避孕套，晚上青蛙吵的没法睡觉，服务没有做到位没提醒外来客注意关窗，退房时要求开发票，态度很僵硬，还和客人起冲突，没有微笑服务，不可能再会光临此酒店了！

Reviewed By 紫水晶_purple这周六晚上去了这间温泉，人很多服务跟不上，要用干毛巾还要等。重点是在服务台买的泳衣76元，当时还想价格不贵，谁知泡完温泉回到酒店后才发现泳衣里面在一大滩黄色的污迹，难怪沐浴地方到处是扔的泳衣，这店也太黑心了，用过的拿出来卖，还当时衣服有吊牌的还以为是新的，真是黑店。差评，特差

The hotel is in an quiet and peaceful valley with very beautiful scenery. The brilliant and friendly housekeeper service will make you feel at home. Reviewed By rcummins541This resort is amazing. Not only are the grounds and views spectacular, but the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our liaison Rain, took care of all our needs. The resort offers insights on what to see at the national park and provides a shuttle service to the west gate entrance. The food served is also amazing, although it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a few snacks for your room. The sunset dinner is delicious and highly recommend! If you are also leaving to the airport they will also provide shuttle service for a affordable fee. Truly a magnificent place to stay for a couple or with friends!

Reviewed By marilynmodivaWithout a doubt, staying at Homeward Mountain was/is our favourite place to date - and we've stayed at many places so far during our travels! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property, the splendor of the surrounding area and the exceptionally warm and welcoming service. The peacefulness of the place, the serenity and calmness of the mountains nearby was simply perfect. Our room was on the ground floor, so directly touching the lovely infinity-like pool, so we felt like we were a part of the water. The rooms were beautiful - the TOILET is the best in China! Warm seat and bidets, yes please! And we pampered ourselves by having a long, luxurious bath in the semi-outdoor bath one night too. It was my husband's 40th birthday on the second night we stayed there, and I had pre-organised a cake for him as a surprise. They went over and beyond what I was expecting, decorating the floor with fairy lights, playing Happy Birthday in the background, singing him a song, giving him a beautiful gift and a bouquet of flowers and especially making him a cake made out of fruit (because we are both vegan)! It was incredibly heartwarming and such an incredible gesture - we were both humbled and extremely grateful. Their restaurant up a little stone road (about a minute walk from the property) was just as beautiful as the hotel, and the food was delicious! Our favourite dish was the eggplant, so definitely get that if you're eating there. Also, the shuttle service is extremely helpful and useful, and we get a free one way shuttle to the railway station (an hour away), so that was a bonus! Any little thing we asked, they were happy to help and they were all so enthusiastic and friendly, we will miss staying there! We definitely will stay there again if we are ever in Zhangjiajie again. Not enough stars to give to this place! 5+++++ :) Also, there was a friendly, gorgeous golden retriever who quickly befriended us when we gave it some love.

Rooms: nice size, stained carpet, dirty walls, OK furniture, grubby stained bathroom. Old TV. No wireless internet in hotel rooms, unless you are on the executive floor. Everything stinks of cigarette smoke. Bed was hard. Linens and towels OK. Bath products OK. Ambience: long dim hallways, with stained carpet, reeking of disappointment and cigarettes. Location: far from city center. Breakfast: decent choice of Chinese food; Western food was awful. This is a hotel that probably was nice when it opened but the management has let in become exceedingly shabby and run down. Needs a top to bottom renovation.

Reviewed By John12312A large hotel with a maze of corridors to guest rooms. The entrance lobby is very grand with huge golden art wall mural and large intricately craft teak wooden furniture surrounding a large water feature. The reception is the left side of the lobby. The access to the lift is hidden in some corner. I nearly lost in the maze of corridor looking for my room. There are internal courtyards within the hotel ground where most of the rooms faced if you did not book with lake view facing room. The room is very spacious. The bath room comes with bath tube and shower facilities. Breakfast is standard Chinese as it caters to local tourists. There are no eatery nearby but you can take a pleasant walk along the lake-side walkway fronting the hotel to a huge plaza about 500m away at the edge of the lake to find some restaurants. Beware of drivers in front of the hotel offering and overcharging to take you to Yueyang tower and other interesting places

Reviewed By Sens4lifeExcellent location, nicely decorated interior, saw swans in the lake from my window, staff constantly brought snacks to my room, fast wifi, surprisingly quick early check in, friendly staff. Other than the outdated bathrooms this place was perfect.
