Comfortable place to stay in Guptkashi with simple, Neat and Clean place. Pure Vegiterian food. Personal service to the guests. Helicopter ride to Kedarnath shrine is just 100 meters away. View from all 17 Huts and 13 Rooms is breathtaking. 24X7 hot runing water ,WiFi, Satellite TV(Tata Sky), Room Heaters and Room Coolers in all rooms. A basic massage center available. Laundry service available.

All facilities available in room except TV and WI -FI and i bet you will not need these when you are here. Nice trek trails from the estate, safe to walk and see wild animals like deers and Pine Marten. Thanks to Ganshyam PAdey jee, the Manager of the Hotel who took care us from welcome to Bye bye. If you want to spend a vacation far from the madding crowd, this is the best place in Uttarakhand. So calm and quiet, that you can listen to a dry leaf falling on the ground.

Our experience was great here. We checked in on 21st March 2021 and checked out on 24th March 2021. Kids loved this place so much, they did not want to go back to Delhi. This place has lots of positive vibes and calmness along with natural beauty. Food quality is also good. . We loved the natural surrounding of this place. Sighting of 10-12 Langurs at back side gate made kids exited. They enjoyed sighting of many birds in the garden. Both the balconies give amazing view. Lush garden adds more beauty to this property. Proximity to the Kosi river was the biggest plus point for nature lovers like us. Staff members are very co-operative and helpful, they cattered all our needs and served us very well. I am really thankful to them for making our experience memorable. I would recommend this place to everyone. You will surely get comfort and peace of mind both. Waiting to visit this place soon

Mary Budden Estate - a family run luxury homestay, is one of only five private homes nestled deep in the oak forests of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Himalayas, at 8000 feet.Mary Budden's 120 year old heritage home has been fully restored by the owners, who have also built another cottage in keeping with the old colonial style; along with a replica of a 14th century Shiv temple within its 5 acres.They harvest rainwater and are fully powered by solar energy. Mary Budden Estate also provides guests with organic produce from their own garden.With the help of their caretaker Ganesh Dutt (who has been with them for the last 21 years), they also provide their guests with a complete village experience in Ganesh's own home in the Dalar village (an hour and a half on foot from Mary Budden Estate). Reviewed By 2013Travel_CompanionThe beauty of this place is that once you reach there, you are completely surrounded by nature and in complete peace and tranquility with the same. This is the main highlight of being here. Even though they do not have a constant electricity supply and are so remotely located they manage to take care of everything you need. This is really something to appreciate the management of Mary Budden Estate for. The rooms are very nice, well kept, clean, and have all the amenities. Food is great, something different served for every meal. The barbeque every evening was a highlight. The team will do everything to make every meal special. The team is most hospitable and very welcoming. Kripalini who manages the property is absolutely fantastic, Rohit in service is superb, as is the rest of the team who all took great care of us. The library has a great collection in case you forget to bring your book along. Reaching there is a task (at least it was for us), so plan your travel accordingly. The hill roads are one way, and curvy so take time and it can get very giddy. Mary Budden is right on the top, so it takes an additional 40 - 45 mins once you enter the sanctuary gate. We recommend this property if you want a place deep in the forest, with nothing else but nature to envelope you. And the stars to accompany you for dinner.

The staff is helpful, friendly and diligent. I stayed here for two nights in April 2022 with my mum in the newly renovated room. It was spacious, tastefully decorated, full of books and reeks of comfort! Every single meal was delicious, thoughtful and served on time. There are lots of little hikes around this orchard village. Everyone in the village will greet you with a smile. The lawn is perfect for a yoga session with the rising sun and birds chirping throughout. The verandah will have a cosy spot for everyone. Both my mom and I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this homestay for female solo travellers, couples and families alike!
