We had an incredible couple of days with Florian! We travelled from Canada ???????? and had never been to Germany. He made our experience stress-free and so fun!! He picked us up at the airport, took us for an authentic German supper at a local restaurant in Frankfurt and then we did an evening guided tour of the city. The next two days were full of the Rhein Valley and Mosel Valley. Small quaint villages, wine, food and history! Florian is intelligent, funny and kind. We couldn’t have asked for more. His English is impeccable and in fact he speaks several languages fluently. We saw more in the few days we had with him than we could have ever imagined! 5 Stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You will never regret your choice to book with Florian! We can’t wait to visit Germany again one day!

If you want to visit the homeland of your ancestors, Manfred Pitz is the man for the job! We were in Germany in April 2019 while on a Viking river cruise. While others in our group visited Heidelberg, my husband and I hired Manfred to take us to the Palatinate to see the town where my great-great grandparents lived before moving to the US. Manfred was able to locate the minister of the church were my ancestors were married, and we were able to tour the church, which normally is locked on weekdays. He contacted distant relatives who operate a restaurant that carries my family name, and arranged for a private lunch for us. My distant relatives do not speak or read English, and Manfred served as translator throughout our visit. (Manfred has lived and worked in the United States, and his English skills are excellent.) Thanks to Manfred, our visit was the most memorable part of our vacation. The name of his company, "A Friend in Heidelberg" says it all. He is more than a chauffeur. He is more than a tour guide. He is the consummate professional and a dear and true friend.

Thanks to the Internet genealogical research has become way easier. Nowadays you have an unparalleled opportunity to trace your roots to a certain town and to explore where your ancestors originated. You might even get lucky and meet some distant relatives. If your ancestors are from Germany, I am here to help you explore the places and points of interest related to your ancestors. Actually, a lot of Germans who emigrated came from the region I serve as a driver guide or better your "concierge on wheels". I am located in the renowned historic city of Heidelberg and my primarily geographical area of operations stretches from Frankfurt in the north, Stuttgart and Strasbourg in the south, Saarbrucken and Kaiserslautern, known as "K-town" by US army personnel, in the west and Würzburg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the east. The name of my boutique-style chauffeur and limousine service is "a friend in heidelberg". Many guests of mine told me that this very name is the perfect choice. I was not only born in the famous historical city of Heidelberg and know the area extremely well, but also lived and worked in the US and hence speak fluent English. If you wish I can help you with the organization of your trip ahead of time. In contrast to the famous movie "Back to the Future", I cannot serve with a DeLorean with a built-in time machine, but offer a fully equipped first-class Mercedes S-Class limousine for travels back to one’s past.

Inclusions: WiFi on board, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Parking Fees, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea

Exclusions: Travel exceeding the mileage allotment of 20 kilometers per hour will be charged with 1.00 € per kilometer.
