When the knights of the Order of St. John came to Malta in 1530, they settled down in the harbor hamlet called Il- Birgu. Here they built their first hospital, Auberges and also fortifications as they expected the Ottomans to attack. The Ottomans attacked in 1565, the knights won the siege which remained known in history as The Great Siege of 1565. After the victory, the town was renamed Vittoriosa, the victorious city. In 1571 the Knights moved to Valletta, the new city which they themselves had built. Vittoriosa did not lose its importance as the Order’s fleet was stationed here. When Malta became a British Crown Colony in 1814, many of the buildings built by the knights now served the Royal Navy. Vittoriosa is a small town with a rich history.

Our charters which are fully exclusive normally run for 9 hours from 09:00 to 18:00. We typically sail to the north of the island whereby we would be able to sail past St. Paul's Islands and reach Comino to visit a number of bays there for swimming and snorkelling as well as interesting landscapes including the Blue Lagoon and Crystal lagoon. Furthermore, our skippers would also be able to provide you with suggestions on the day based on your preferences and will make sure to make this day one to remember. We can offer a set of pre-prepared buffet style meals and a set of BBQ menu options which are freshly cooked on-board by our skippers. Should customers like to bring your own provisions, you are welcome to bring with you any provisions which would be pre-prepared and would not require any cooking onboard. Yacht is equipped with a fridge and all the cutlery, cups, plates etc. therefore you need not bring any of these with you.

For tailor-made tours, clients are advised to book one of our longer tours so they can choose to visit any sites depending on the hours they have in mind. Clients can choose to have longer tours at an extra cost. Our driver/guide will take you around and show you Malta's most interesting sites. Walk through time (3500BC) when visiting these ancient prehistoric temples. Many people know about the Pyramids and Stonehenge but little do they know when it comes to these Maltese temples outdating them both. We have around twenty three megalithic sites scattered all over the islands of Malta & Gozo. In this private tour we will be visiting two fishing villages, Tarxien, Hagar Qim & Mnajdra temples. Two of these temples spread apart by a few meters very close to our cliffside, on the first day of each season the sun rises in a particular alignment with these prehistoric buildings marking the grow or harvest periods. We do not call this a guided tour but there is no need for one to be since on every site there will be its own guidance and audio visuals. All entry fees are included in price with free flowing cold water. Only the boat ride is optional and tickets need to be bought upon arriving at the site.
