Poltava (Ukrainian: Полтава [pɔlˈtɑβɑ]; Russian: Полта́ва) is a city located on the Vorskla River in central Ukraine. It is the capital city of the Poltava Oblast (province) and of the surrounding Poltava Raion (district) of the oblast.
