Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog

On an October day I went by ferry to this beautiful island, rented a bike at Soepboer and cycled all around the island. Beautiful excursion for a day to visit all the highlights. Even during corona days! Due to the new regulations it is easier to book a hotel with a restaurant and have the advantage of being ablest stay and eat there.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park

De Hoge Veluwe National Park is - partly due to the variety of landscapes - the most surprising national park in the Netherlands. The Park is famous for its rare animal and plant species. There are excellent possibilities for wildlife observation in the Park. With over 40 kilometers of paved cycle paths, free to use White Bicycles and a lot of different walking routes, the Park offers something for everyone. The Kröller-Müller Museum - located in the center of the Park - shows works of great masters like Van Gogh, Picasso and Mondriaan. The visitor will also come across a number of monuments by famous architects Berlage and Van de Velde in the Park. The famous country residence/museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus is perhaps the most impressive example. The special combination of nature and art guarantees a Park with a high recreational and educational value. Due to the high natural value, the area is also assessed by researchers as very valuable.

Just entering the de Hoge Veluwe National Park is part of the thrill. You find yourself immersed in a forest, a real Dutch forest populated by animals, birds and beautiful trees. In addition there are some 1700 bicycles for visitors to ride, free of charge, on the kilometers of excellent bike paths. Include the fact that a first class art museum, sculpture garden and historic castle-like home are part of the deal and you have a first class tourist attraction worthy of a whole day's visit.

Kennemerduinen an der Nordsee

There are trains every half hour to Overveen, just 24 minutes, the park is one kilometer from the station. Just after the entrance you reach a small lake suitable for a bath or swim, this area is mostly aimed at small children with sand, dunes, forest. Then you can follow the blue trail, 10 kilometers through the pristine nature to the sea and beach and back, on the way back it passes an island where birds nest.

National Park de Loonse en Drunense Duinen

This is a national park, close to amusementparc de Efteling and the cities Tilburg and 's Hertogenbosch/Den Bosch. This park is like a desert, surrounded by a small forest. There are 6 main entries, and at each entry there's a restaurant and lots of parkingspace available. The "duinen" (in English it's called dunes) is a great area to walk or cycle around (there is a special cycle path) and there are tracks for mountainbiking and horsebackriding. Children can build sandcastles or treehouses, and dogs love the area, because at certain places they can run around loose. It's sort of a beach without the sea! Also great for picknicking, sunbathing, children's parties, groupgames, etc. A real popular NP in our province!

Dunes like this i have seen only on the Curonian split at the Baltic sea. It's very impressive landscape. And it's very nice place for people who like have a walk. And during the warm season can to spend whole day in this place.
