We had booked a car with driver for 10 days from Osh to Bishkek (November 2019). When arranging our itinerary, Talant was very responsive to our emails, allowing for us to set up our trip with ease. Kuba was our driver and his friend, Muha, was there to help should we have any issues with snow covered roads in the Pamir Highway. We had the most remarkable tour with Kuba, who is not only an excellent driver but also speaks good English and has thorough knowledge of the region. During the trip, I unfortunately fell terribly ill, but Kuba went out of his way to drive me through the night (10 hours!) to the nearest hospital and acted as my translator/guide while I was being medically treated. After I recovered, he even took us back to where we had abruptly left the trip without any extra charge for himself. At every instance, we felt that Kuba and Muha truly cared about us and did their best to ensure that we had a memorable time. The trip itself, which not only included driving along the main Pamir Highway but also off-roading in eastern Tajikistan, was met with breath-taking views of the Pamir Mountains, immaculate lakes and beautiful pastures. Also, all homestays arranged for us were comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. I would highly recommend using Visit Alay tours and having Kuba as their driver to anyone wanting an adventure of a lifetime – they will definitely deliver!

The Pamir Highway is one of the world’s greatest road trips. The Pamir Highway. It’s a name that vibrates strongly in the belly of anyone with a taste for adventure. The high desert of the Pamir invites expletives and superlatives. ... It crosses the whole Pamir region of Tajikistan, running from Dushanbe to Khorog to Osh. From this road, you can look at China, peek into Pakistan and wave to villagers in Afghanistan.

We had a fantastic trip with Visit Alay; prompt responses facilitated smooth organising before even arriving in the country, Talant runs a tight ship. Our driver Nabi was not only a very skilled experienced driver but was a great guide and friend, we shared many jokes and good conversation on the journey. Nabi also chose very comfortable and friendly guesthouses and knew of great places to eat along the way. We loved the hikes and beautiful scenery in this historically and culturally interesting area. Highly recommended!
This trekking program is created for those, who want to see the amazing nature of Kyrgyzstan. It goes in the Pamir mountain system through various landscapes. We'll trek along the gorges Turkestan mountain range and to the heart of Pamir-Alai mountain system. Region of Turkestan mountain range reminds of South American Patagonia - same wilderness, winds blowing through, mountain streams with pure water, alpine meadows, herds of yaks grazing peacefully, glaciers surrounded with 5000+ meters high peaks and there is not a sign of civilisation... There is a difference though - stable and warm weather. The mountain trails going above the steeps, wild nature, panoramic views of the canyons crowned by snow-white peaks and treks to the foot of peak Piramidalnyi (5509m) - the highest point of Turkestan range, Ak-Suu peak (5355 m), peak Slesova (4240 m). Everyone will have unforgettable experience!

The Pamir-Alay region possesses an amazing nature. Bright valleys and mountain foothills give place to rigorous colours of rocks, snow and glaciers. The mountainscape is characterized by high ragged peaks. Crystal-clear air is saturated with fragrance of thick juniper forests. The mountain trip to Sabakh peak (5283m) and Aksu peak (5365m) is often called trekking in ‘Asian Patagonia’. Infinite number of unique treks, including the pioneering ones, and genuine wilderness of the region attract numerous mountaineers, rock climbers and trekkers.

Untouched, unspoiled and unrivaled. Tajikistan is an oddly shaped, mountainous, landlocked country squished between Afghanistan to the south, China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the north and Uzbekistan to the west. A country unknown to most the outside world that I chose to visit exactly for that reason. Those that make it to this little known corner of the world will be greatly rewarded. Kyrgyzstan is a country that captured our imagination from the very first time we entered its border from Kazakhstan. It has beautiful unspoiled mountains, crystal-clear mountain lakes, a fascinating culture, and interesting traditions.

My tour of Bukhara was the highlight of my trip to Uzbekistan. My guide, Lola, was arguably the best tour guide I’ve had the pleasure to sightsee with. She had an exceptional knowledge of the history and landmarks and her enthusiasm of the subject matter was infectious. She tailored the tour to my interest and was extremely patient as I nerded out taking photographs. I so enjoyed my day with her and hope to get her as a guide again on my next trip to Uzbekistan. The tour was effortless with hotel pick up and drop off. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Well worth it!!
