World class skiing, decadent European style cuisine, ornamental cathedrals, peaceful island life…Canada is a patchwork of thriving cities and majestic wilderness. Montreal beckons travelers with its French charm and booming cultural landscape. In Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is a vision of Frank Gehry architecture and national artistic treasures. The gleaming mountain ranges of Banff set a stunning backdrop for an exploration of the Canadian Rockies.

This is a unique experience! This is not JUST a movie theatre- it is 5 unique theatres, where the seats, curtains, wall adornments were saved from old theatres that were torn down! Take a trip back in time- not just in the theatres themselves but in the winding hallways that connect them. Keith Stata has displayed a myriad of memorabilia flowing back through the decades. Be regaled by the movie posters of yesteryear and marvel at the most extensive collection of movie projectors that you’ll ever see! Plan time to visit this museum before your movie! This is one of the places YOU MUST SEE when visiting in North Kawartha Lakes or Halliburton. Located on highway 121, just north of Kinmount.

We were super pleased by the staff at the drive-in, they were very friendly, entertaining and helpful. The movies were easy to see from our vehicle, the COVID protocols were in place and obvious and the snack bar was well managed. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Park Drive In

One of the few remaining operating drive-ins in North America! 2 movies every Friday, Sat & Sun during July & August. There's a mini golf, go-karts & concession.

Absolutely wonderful experience. In the last few years, they've upgraded the projector so now movies are crystal clear and theater-quality. They play a double feature every show and usually, it's a more kiddy movie, then a more adult movie. Drinks and snacks are reasonably priced and how cool is it watching a movie in your car?! If you're travelling to PG and this place is open, you have to check it out. It's a great experience. Have some "theater etiquette" though. Cover your headlights, and bring bug dope. It can get buggy out there some nights.

This place has it all. There is lots of parking, and around the building is trails to walk. Along the paths are displays of man made items to resemble the area in another era, like a well, fishing wharf, land markers and rock wall boundary. Inside the geo centre is a very inviting place, with a small lounge/cafe style area, and close by is the geo centre gift shop and has all kinds fun gifts from geode rocks to newfoundland items abd souvenirs. Downstairs is like no other. Several different areas to explore with different exhibits like the titanic, hibernia, rock walls showing the history of our land, etc. You'll be amazed by the large hanging planets above your head. Quite the place to visit.

How great that Oliver has such a wonderful theatre! Classic box office opening to the street. Prices reasonable especially if you are used to city prices. Even popcorn, etc. is priced very reasonably. Tuesdays offer a really good deal fro admission and snacks for one low price. If you buy a bottle of water they give you a cup......reason is the cup holders on the seat arms have no bottom so a water bottle falls right through and rolls done the theatre floor. I should know as mine did.....Hopefully we can return to see another movie in the coming weeks.

The Screening Room

Classic movies, first run movies and genre movies on the big screen for $6, $8 or $9 - I love this small venue, downtown, funky cinema - good popcorn and coffee

As lovers of independent films and independent cinemas we were thrilled to find The Screening Room when we came to Kingston. If you're looking for something a world away from massive multiscreens and same old, same old big bash Holywood films then head here PDQ! The staff at The Screening Room are friendly and helpful, the selection of films covers such great variety, and you can also enjoy delicious real-butter-popcorn ... yummy! Admittedly it is rather different since Covid-19 hit, with much smaller audiences and strict guidelines for attendance, but The Screening Room is carefully following all provincial and municipal Covid protocols and we ourselves have adapted to buying our tickets online ahead of time. We have been to see films here again several times since re-opening under pandemic condtions, and we definitely feel safe in this space with strict social distancing, mask-wearing, etc. I encourage people to become members of The Screening Room - the small fee for membership quickly repays you and also supports keeping independent thought alive and well here in Kingston.
