This monument was especially poignant since the first victim's name was the father of our tour guide that morning.

Free Derry Corner

Reviewed By vince23 - Naro, Italy

We are talking about a place not in Africa nor in South America, we are talking about a place in Europe where a certain kind of people couldn't vote nor to have a job. This place is called Derry (someone goes on calling it Londonderry) and is situated in the North of Ireland. If you go there, visit it and you will realize how liberty and rights can established and defended.

Knockagh Monument

Reviewed By U6901IJgeorgea - Brighton, United Kingdom

Wonderful view from the memorial and over Belfast and Antrim and across to Scotland. Please be respectful of the site given its purpose, to comemorate those who gave their lives so we could enjoy this freedom. Definitely need transport unless a 4 mile hike uphill is your thing, although it is a stunning walk on taramac roads to the summit if you have the time and ability.

Worth the detour from the coast road, up a narrow mountain road to see this striking statue and admire the view from a height. #Ample safe parking and good steps up to statue.

Hands Across the Divide Monument

As you enter the city across Craigavon Bridge, the first thing you see is the Hands Across the Divide monument. This striking bronze sculpture of two men reaching out to each other symbolises the spirit of reconciliation and hope for the future; it was unveiled in 1992, 20 years after Bloody Sunday.

Johann The Goat

Reviewed By 2014Jandy - Nottingham, United Kingdom

Johann was a real goat that spent his time in the harbour and riverbank and greeted visitors to Cushendun. An artist Deborah Brown created this sculpture to his memory which stands close to the harbour. It is of a goat standing on a rock with an inscription. Interesting tale of a goat.
