I was taken to the Museum by my Son as a birthday gift. We spent over 2 hours perusing the very interesting exhibits and information, only reaching Word War I. With closing imminent, we had to rush around the rest. It is therefore ideal that the ticket lasts for 12 months, giving us plenty of time to return and complete our tour. Very well laid out and presented in both an interesting and informative manner. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in our long and varied military history.

Lashenden Air Warfare Museum

Reviewed By hawkes2an - Cranbrook, United Kingdom

What a gem of a museum. There so much to see. So many parts of different aircraft; British, American and German. And with the story behind those items. In fact, there's so much information that it's hard to take it all in on just one visit (we will certainly be back). It's not too costly, so repeat visits are certainly affordable. It costs £2 to park on the airfield (but that's for all day) and, as there are (in these troubled times restricted) catering outlets (the Aerodrome Cafe and Wings Bar), you can easily spend the day here. You may also be there when aircraft are operating, which is a bonus (especially if one of these is a Spitfire).

Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry Museum

The new museum, opened in 2015, describes the history of the Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry regiments from 1794 to the present day. The museum is designed for visitors of all ages, with many displays, four touch screens, and reconstructions of a WW1 Gallipoli trench and the interior of a WW2 Cromwell tank turret. Outside the museum we display a Saladin armoured car and a 25 pounder field gun. Access to the museum is included in the admission to Hever Castle.
