Magnificent golden beach, with great weather throughout the year. There is nothing better then it's turquoise water.

Beautiful spot to see the yachts and supercars which line the Marina. Buzzing atmosphere especially at night.Plenty of cafes bars and restaurants to choose from most doing excellent seafood and local Portugese food.Nice place to walk right around with beaches at either end. Plenty of places to book on a boat trip to see Dolphins or the local sea caves or paragliding for the more adventurous. We found the area to be friendly to families with children too and we tended to eat earlier in the evening before it got too busy.

The beating heart of an incredible city, just sitting in one of the myriad cafes and restaurants and watching the world bustle past....one of life's must do moments that will linger for a lifetime. Ships ploughing their way up the river, ferries making their way between banks, couples laughing, glorious food, wine and vistas to die for... Did I mention it was a nice place to visit?

This week during the first real summer days, we visited the Praia do Porto de Mos, and it was fantastic. There are also several restaurants, its simply a super beach. When you are sportive you can also walk from Praia do Mos over the cliffs to Praia de Luz, with amazing views over the sea !!

This little Fishermans village belongs to metropolitan area of Funchal. It is located at a very picturesque bay with colourful boats surrounded by the rocks and houses. On the top there are numerous banana terraces. Nice place to visit if you’re nearby
