Superb hotel and food
Reviewed By new_world_travellersWe stayed 2 nights at Cayenna Beach and it was excellent. The room was superb and the food is top notch. The cocktails are also great. The swimming pool is excelent and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The staff is also very friendly and always ready to help. We were sad to leave… Highly recommended.

Casa Barlovento is a fantastic place privileged for its location, beauty and tranquility of the natural environment. It is located at Km 33 Vía Riohacha, 45 minutes from Santa Marta, just 3 minutes from the main entrance of the Tayrona Park. It has spacious social areas, two warm swimming pools that run throughout the house, reading and relaxation room, 6 spacious rooms with a spectacular panoramic view of the sea and the Sierra Nevada, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens that give the touch of exuberant nature. It has direct access to the beach and the mouth of the Piedra River. The beach is suitable for Surfing and the river is not suitable for bathing, just to contemplate the beautiful views.

Reviewed By andresr61Excellent choice for the area. Would absolutely stay again for the service, location and price. Pros: Location/views are simply perfect. Room 1 has views that were breathtaking. Food was EXCELLENT. Paola and the other receptionist were THE BEST. All staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Cons: Owners need to invest some money in keeping up the property including paint and furniture and other details.

Reviewed By Tony SDo not stay at this hotel for any reason I paid for double occupancy and when my guest arrived they did not allow him into the hotel because I believe they did not like that he was black. I've never been so insulted by a hotel in my life and my guests are very important to me so this disrespect was unforgivable. And the beds were horribly uncomfortable no air conditioning or any facilities this place is an embarrassment.

Reviewed By LavamotoAbsolut nicht empfehlenswert. Heruntergekommene Unterkunft, schimmeliger Geruch im Zimmer. Baustelle,defekte Einrichtung. Selbst Mitarbeiter beschwert sich und hat uns empfohlen eine andere Unterkunft zu nehmen. Sicher findet man in Minca deutlich bessere Unterkünfte. Mitarbeiter muss in Baracke mit Chemikalien der Farm hausen. Einzig der Ausblick/ die Lage wâre schön.

It offers absolute privacy and is truly a truly amazing experience... together with a small private pool ideal to relax for drinks. Service is perfect, and dinner can even be served in the deluxe bungalow. Of course, we chose this option during our 2-night stay. Staff are kind, helpful, and professional. A memorable property to stay at, which I would highly recommend. The only negative is that there isn't a fridge/minibar in the bungalow.

Reviewed By LialisOn one hand you are in the middle of nowhere. High up on a hill (congrats to the guys carrying the luggage) with a fantastic view on the sea. At the same time the quality of the stay breathes a high standard. The huts are great. Both breakfast and food (available all day long) have a high standard. The beach down the hotel is very nice and dose actually not require a long walk to the more crowded beaches

You can go to nearby beaches that are awesome and the people from the hotel Carlos and Alejandra are super friendly and we did scuba diving, surfing, a trip to the remote and amazing beach (Cinto), and in addition to that we had as well a boat trip with them. Totally recommended.

Javier even brought us back to Santa Marta something we forgot there!!! Perfect place to go before & after Tayrona.
