Reviewed By Alexander1969We decided to go explore the Guatape area and this hotel was recommended to me by a local. The hotel is just past the great rock on the outskirts of the main city. The views are surprisingly good, you have views that face El Peñol, the main attraction in the area. But there is also a huge artificial lake that is part of a hydroelectric power plant towards the back; that’s where our room was. The room was smallish, but the view to the lake was exceptional. The bathroom was spacious considering the room itself, hot and cold water worked well. There is no air conditioning in the hotel, but you have a fan in case you need it. The elevators worked well, we were on the 3rd floor, the pool is well maintained but cold. What surprised me was the whirlpool: It was actually heated (Hot to be precise), and this is where I spent most of the time by the pool. In addition, the pool itself is supposed to be heated according to the maintenance workers by mid-December. The weather turns cool at night due to the lake’s proximity so this is a good idea. The breakfast was typical local fare: Eggs and sausages, bread, 2 types of bread, coffee and OJ. The staff was excellent in every way and very attentive.

Reviewed By Sandra DGreat location tucked in the center of town. Semi-colonial, bizarre but nice architecture and decoration. Shaded and airy common area. Nice pool especially when it is not a holiday therefore not too many kids around. Great service. Clean, good ecological practices. Good breakfast. Only problem: it only has internet access in common areas, which is difficult to understand these days and in a hotel of this price. Superior rooms are nice.

What should I start with… the amazing view over Jardin, the cozy room with a lot of attention to details, the floor made of teak, the calm and to be in nature with many birds around you… the owner Gustavo and his staff are very attentive, friendly, open-minded and they give you good recommendations for activities. You have to try a pizza there, the zipline and the canopy! It‘s s definitely a must to do during a stay in Jardin! The gulupa ecolodge is a really great insider tip in Jardin. If you love nature, private atmosphere, lovely hosts and dogs ? you will enjoy your stay at Gulupa ecolodge. I wish we could have stayed longer ? thank you guys, we will come back for sure!

There's a river right on site and they're even building a structure right to the side of the river for more available space for guests to relax. There's a jacuzzi, steam room, and a big bath tub for the couple's suite. I loved the nature here and the decorations were so unique and beautiful! So much fruit and flowers and animals, like a nature lovers dream!! The rooms were super comfortable and clean as well.

Reviewed By LayamiyamEsta localizado en una zona muy central y concurrida, con bastante trafico vehicular y mucha actividad comercial durante el día. cerca de la alcaldía y gobernación de medellin. Escogí este hotel por su cercanía a plaza mayor, pude ir caminando y llegar en unos 15 minutos. En la noche recomiendo que lleguen al hotel en taxi, no caminando ya que la zona queda muy sola. el hotel brinda una acomodación cómoda, un buen desayuno y una bonita atención. el único inconveniente es que no cuenta con ascensor.

Reviewed By Millet02We stayed in a room in a second floor apartment. It was spacious, light, and had a great kitchen plus a seating area with chairs and couches. The room was spacious and nice, as was the bathroom. Only complaint is the bed was harder than concrete, and we both woke up multiple times every night with hip pains because the mattress was so unforgiving.

Lovely staff at small, clean guesthouse far from nightlife/commercial hubs
Reviewed By sharonjsmith1I didn't realize how far away from the main commercial areas of El Poblado this little guesthouse was. It was perfectly fine for my stay, and a really good deal, but I wished I'd stayed elsewhere, because I ended up spending time and money taking a taxi to and from the main areas of El Poblado once or twice a day in order to actually go to bars, restaurants, and a dance studio. Very, very nice staff. A few restaurants and one small coffeeshop a block away, plus the metro is a 5 minute walk.

Ok stay in Jardin
Reviewed By nedguldenGood location, friendly and helpful host. Stayed here at the start of the Corona pendemic, just as everything started to shut down. Property is sell situated, at the edge of town. Unfortunately there is construction going on at 2 buildings across the street therefore noisy from dawn to dusk. Small bathroom. Had to ask for cleaning service after a few days. No breakfast.
