The room was extremely warm and stuffy with no way of getting it to cool down since the window would not stay open and also faced the yard were people were seated for drinks and food. Hopefully the other rooms are better. The breakfast was decent and provided possibilities to sit on the terrace. The hotel had some great potential with it being in a former mill with old details present in parts of the building, a nice courtyard and large garden but it was a while since there was any redecoration done.

Summer Wedding Weekend
Reviewed By Orren CJust came back from a wedding weekend at the hotel. 2 good friends had their weeding there and I stayed there from Friday till Sunday (the wedding was on Sat). It is a perfect location for a spring/summer wedding, with pleasant rooms (though they need some updating), perfect small garden in front of the rooms and direct access to the lake. The reception staff is helpful and attentive, the Restaurant/Event staff were really nice and professional. I had a great time and a weekend to remember.

Beautiful location and great staff, a few tweaks

When we arrived their sofa bed was not made, but this was sorted right away after during dinner after we talked to reception. We stayed in one of the 2 storey apartments right by the lake which are pretty and comfortable-only downside is a short walk to the main building (so all clothes on and off - it was January) to go for dinner and breakfast. Huge compliments go to Kristine at the Kids Club who did an excellent job with our kids (aged 3 and 6)! The whole Club is well equipped and has a good atmosphere, but of course Kristine added all the value to it. Only annoyance for us was that we had to pay parking fee at the hotel. as guest and paying around €260/night this should definitely be included...

The Havel River cruises stop an easy walk from this hotel, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. The rooms are modern. Breakfast is included, and good. WiFi is not blazingly fast, but it does the job.

Reviewed By MikeChemnitzThis new hotel is built to a high standard, but not at all luxurious. All you need, very clean, good beds, modern shower etc with quality fittings, but no frills. Check-in unusual via touchscreen computer next to front door. This issues keycard and receipt. No staff at hotel, but good breakfast facility in Bistro next door. Hotel next to amazing equestrian centre. Only a km off the Berlin - Hamburg motorway. You can eat well in nearby (3km) restaurant 'Rittmeister'.

Schwachpunkte waren die Duschen (wenig Wasserdruck) und das WLAN (funktionierte bei uns und unseren Freunden jeweils nur äußerst sporadisch und langsam). Unsere Bitte um Korrektur wurde freundlich, aber nicht hilfreich gekontert (in höflicher Form wurde uns unterstellt, wir hätten uns nicht richtig eingeloggt).

A sweet hotel on peaceful, beautiful Werder Havel!
Reviewed By surya77Staying on the picturesque island of Werder was a good choice. The little town reflects Prussian building style and old restored charm along the beautiful Havel River. The Hotel is situated centrally on the market square of Werder, only 5 minutes walk from the bridge which connects it to the mainland. The island itself reflects history and calm, while a stroll through the old streets, by the river, to the windmill and church is a highlight, Hotel am Markt is a very old renovated house. We stayed in the main front building and our accommodation comprised of two rooms, a bedroom and a sitting room, both newly decorated, and, a clean, also newly renovated, bathroom. There is an adjacent building with most of the rooms. In the main house there is a bar and the breakfast room. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts with the very helpful and smiling waitress and the 'smiley' on our boiled eggs! As the hotel is on the market square, it is great to sit and have a drink or meal outside. There are quite a few restaurants walking distance away, mainly on the other side of the bridge. From Werder it is possible to go on a boat trip to Berlin and around the area. By car, Berlin is 1hr from Werder. Hotel am Markt is a 3 star hotel and as a 3 star hotel it is perfect! It is sweet and charming, the staff are friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast good and the location great.

A charming Swiss chalet style hotel
Reviewed By MrsPiketMohr’s Herzl Chalet hotel is a family owned and operated establishment, located in Töplitz. Potsdam is at 14kms and Tegel Airport is at 29kms. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite new and built in a Swiss chalet style, offers 12 rooms and has a restaurant. Töplitz has some Swiss history. In the late 17th century several Swiss families settled here as farmers. Töplitz is unimpressive but the surrounding landscape is nice and fine for walking and cycling. The Havel River is at walking distance. Our room was tastefully furnished and decorated and had a good double bed with quality bed-linen. No coffee & tea making facility in the room. The room had a flatscreen TV, wardrobe, a comfort seat, and a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet, floor heating and a futuristic shower cubicle with build-in radio. Breakfast was very good with amply variety. Windows can be opened but have no mosquito screens. Notwithstanding the many nearby lakes and waterways we were at night not disturbed by mosquitos. Surprisingly the hotel has no Wi-Fi Internet and doesn’t accept credit or debit cards. Mohr’s Herzl Chalet hotel is a nice accommodation but seen its location slightly overpriced. Nonetheless we had a pleasant stay.

Das Hotel Prinz Heinrich ist eine neobarocke Perle an der Uferpromenade der Inselstadt. Roter Backstein, sandfarbene Pilaster mit korinthischen Kapitellen, vasen- und puttengeschmückte Balustrade und verzierter Balkon sind vom Havelufer aus zu sehen. Die Geschichte des Grundstücks Fischerstraße 67 (heute 48) lässt sich bis 1893 zurück verfolgen. Seit dem Umbau des Erdgeschosses im Jahre 2016 hat das Hotel noch 7 historische Doppelzimmer. Fast alle Zimmer sind mit dem originalen Parkett- oder Dielenboden ausgestattet, alten Kirschholzmöbeln und teilweise historischen Türen. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über ein Badezimmer mit Dusche, Hotelkosmetik, Flachbildfernseher, kostenfreies WLAN und natürlich Hotelbettwäsche und Handtücher. Seit dem 1. April 2018 betreibt Michael Scheibe das Hotel Prinz Heinrich und den dazugehörigen Cafégarten an der Uferpromenade auf der Insel Werder (Havel). Preisübersicht: 3 Doppelzimmer mit Blick auf die Havel 110-129€ / Nacht 1 großes Doppelzimmer mit Blick auf die Kirche 110-129€ pro Nacht 2 kleinere Doppelzimmer ab 89€ zur Einzelnutzung 99-119€ zur Nutzung als Doppelzimmer Der wohl schönste Platz auf der Insel zum Verweilen und Genießen ist der Cafégarten des Hotels Prinz Heinrich. Nach dem Motto: „Das Leben ist zu kurz für einen mittelmäßigen Kaffee“ wird auf der Terrasse direkt am Wasser frisch gerösteter Kaffee und selbstgebackener Kuchen serviert. Das Rezept des Käsekuchens stammt vom Großvater Bäckermeister Gerhardt Scheibe. „Aber meine Mutter macht den besten Streusselkuchen!“ meint Hotelbetreiber und Röstmeister Michael Scheibe. Aber auch das Angebot von regionalen Bieren und Weinen erfreut die Gaumen der Werderaner, Spaziergänger Tagestouristen und Urlauber.
