Reviewed By Antun_LoWe just returned from St. Jakob D. Ski resort is very nice, small but big enough for four days. Not many lifts but many slopes option plus two nice long slopes which runs down to the valley. Slopes are very well prepared. We stayed for four nights at hotel Alpenhof. Hotel is on nice quite location, 5 -10 minutes walking to the center of village. Hotel has own shuttle service which is perfectly organized, no waiting. With shuttle you are at gondola base station in less than 2 minutes. Hotel is very good, with great value for money! Some parts of the hotel are for renovation but very clean and this I do not see as an issue at all. Bathrooms are new, lcd tv, beds are very good, good wifi, wellnness center and pool are new and very nice. Restaurant is also nice. Bar is great with fireplace and a snack room close. Ski room is also very good. We had all inclusive service with great choice of drinks included all day. This was fantastic, especially if you have kids.Afternoon snack was great. We were happy also with food for the breakfast and dinner. People in hotel are very friendly and polite so with all incl. service we felt like at home. Every year we go to ski on different ski resorts ( more known and bigger ) and stay in good hotels but here we were more happy with everything. We would definitely recommend St. Jakob as a nice compact ski resort and hotel Alpenhof as a best choice for accommodation!

Great accomodation and great host
Reviewed By zeljka023I've stayed at Appartements Heinzle during my ski week. It's located in the center of St.Jakob in Defereggen. Everything is very close, even ski bus station. Sunce I was alone, I've been in a small appartement which I liked very much. It had everything I needed. A cleaning lady was coming every day. When I didn't have time to wash my dishes she put it in a dish washer. The 3rd or 4th day I got clean towels. Mr.Heinzle is a great host! I definitely recommend Apartement Heinzle!

Reviewed By VistetraHier wurde vor ein altes 70iger Jahre Hotel ein styler Cubus gesetzt. Hier befinden sich die Lobby, eine Bar und im Untergeschoss der Wellnessbereich. Über einen in die Jahre gekommenen und nicht sehr vertrauenerweckenden Lift gelangt man im Altbau zu den Zimmern. Die Zimmer wurde alle renoviert, sind geräumig und bitten alles was man braucht. Jedoch sind sie sehr hellhörig. Wie die Zimmer ist auch im Wellness-Bereich alles sauber. Soweit das Positiv. Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr nüchtern und kalt. Nicht nur von der Einrichtung sondern auch von den Temperaturen. So sitzt man bei Frühstsück und Abendessen noch im Altbau mit Blick in die Lobby. Einfach Tisch an Tisch gereiht und von alle Ecke her zieht es. Die angebotenen Menüs entsprechen leider nicht dem erwarteten Hotel-Niveau. So gab es als Vorspeise die beliebten Tomaten mit Mozarella. Der Mozarella war jedoch vom 4eckigen 1kg-Block vom bekannten Großmarkt und hat nach nichts geschmeckt - auch das fertige Convinience-Dressig konnte das nicht verbessern. Also Nachtisch wurden 2 Kugeln Vanielleis, mit fertiger Schokoladensoße und etwas Schlag gereicht. Auch da erwartet man in einem 4Stern etwas mehr Mühe. Noch dazu muss allen Anschein nach die Kühlkette des Eis unterbrochen gewesen sein - es fanden sie große Eiskristalle. Es gibt leider nur 1 Service-Kraft die sowohl die Bar wie auch das Restaurant betreut. Der Wellnessberich hat alles was man sucht an Saunen und ausreichend Liegen. Nur Ruhe findet man keine. Im Hintergrund läuft die allseitsbekannte Wellness-Musik. Soweit so gut. Jedoch wird man in regelmäßigen Abständen von Werbeunterbrechungen aus der Entspannung geholt. Dann folgt noch die Werbung für das Interradio selbst und erst dann hat man ca. 15 Minute gemütliche Musik. Lt. der Homepage des Internetradios, welches mehrfach in den Werbeeinschaltungen genannt wird (Calmradio.com) würde einen werbefreies Abo 5€/Monat kosten.

Friendly family and perfect location for skiing
Reviewed By Frank vVisited this place 10 years ago with my oldest son and my wife and it looked nothing had changed. The family still very friendly, clean apartment, oke wifi didn't work all the time but it could be the case that everybody in the building want to use it at the same time it goes down. But that is not the end of the world. The building is out dated and the beds can use new mattresses. The owner should us the new building which will arise in the new year. So we book again. The bus to the ski area is top.

Excellent hotel
Reviewed By Dorit_DoronFirst of all - the hotel team was friendly and helpful and made our stay a real pleasure. The hotel was renovated in the last year and it is very nice designed. The room is big and comfortable. It is located near the river and if you open the window you can hear the stream - for us it was very relaxing music. It is 5 minutes drive from the city and/or the cable car station and a good starting point for walking tours.

Reviewed By Anton vWe went up by car (of course) because it is quite a walk (not for those who are not accustomed hiking) to get there. But it is worth going there. The waitress (probably the owner) is more than friendly and being served is a joy. Drinks come quickly and the food is well prepared. I had the "Zwiebelrostbraten", and mij wife the "Cordon Blue Pute" ( turkey).... we highly appreciate he quality of the dish and the quantity was even "higher". We went back to our B & B with a stuffed an satisfied feeling. Go there,...you won't regret it.
