Paper thin walls and noisy; listened to guest renovating their room for a solid 3 hours (as of writing this review) No safe, no robes, no peep hole on door. A good walk to “town” (not that there is much there)... about a mile one way. Front desk people who don’t really care about serving guests nor does it seem that they have an idea of who is staying in there hotel. Assured me no one was above me or next to me... so I guess it must be ghosts acting unruly No English channels on tv.. not even bbc or cnn international. Food... offer a daily buffet which is 18 euro... and it shows. Food looked old and sad just like the hotel itself. Ordered pasta arrabiata and got ketchup and over cooked noodles in soup. Had gin and tonic with dinner but I guess the two I had depleted all the gin in the house.. mind blown. But you could go shopping in the front lobby for zirconia opal jewelry... what a blast! The best thing about this hotel is when I see it in my rear view window.

Hotel Restaurant is Pasta Based Meals
Reviewed By YRMWTThere were one other couple in the hotel’s restaurant. For lunch, the neighboring restaurant ( Buntes Haus ) was very Full with the outside seating. This restaurant is pasta based. We had their tomato and pineapple soup. Yum. ? For the entree we ordered the spaghetti with herd and pine nuts. If you’re in the mood for pasta, we’d recommend this restaurant. We didn’t stay at the hotel; we only ate at the restaurant.

The waiter quickly whisked it away and came back a couple of minutes later saying it was a piece of plastic (shaped like a finger nail). I was not charged for my meal nor drink but my fellow diners who were put off their meals were charged full price. Either way, finger nail or plastic in the meal, this place cannot be recommended.

Reviewed By YRMWTOutside of room 111 which has a separate sitting area, balcony and great WiFi reception, this hotel is amazing and very(!) clean. It is owned by a German family that takes great pride in their business. If you’re rusty on your German, the man can speak English. If you’re looking for a laid back location, look no further. We slept very well here and were always greeted with a smile. The buffet continental breakfast has a nice variety. We highly recommend staying here. This was our number one place of choice for staying during the Christmas market 2019 due to its close proximity (walking distance) to the downtown shops and restaurants but there is no availability during the time of our trip.

Quaint Hotel With Impressive Restaurant
Reviewed By Bruce WThe Hotel Berghof and its restaurant offer an exceptional experience in this Christmas village of wood workers and artisans. The hotel rooms are mini-suites with a small T.V. sitting room and canopy beds. The woodwork in the rooms are hand-painted with traditional motifs. The restaurant presents traditional local dishes, beer, wine and the regional schnapps - must try. My wife had "Kartoffelgericht aus dem Erzgebirge" (regional potato pancakes with beef and mushrooms stewed in dark beer). I had venison also stewed in dark beer, sort of like a sauerbraten. Mouth-watering food! The included breakfast buffet was also excellent and extensive.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Loki_crazycatI stayed for one night in a small apartment. Large living area with kitchen facilities, separate bedroom and clean bathroom. I wasn't met, but the instructions for retrieving the key were easy to follow (once I worked out that the entrance was at the back!) Breakfast was great. I was able to leave my suitcase in the lobby after checkout whilst I wandered through the town. I asked in the shop about sending purchases home to Australia, and they were happy to do so at a reasonable cost, but they warned me about buying large items like pyramids because they couldn't guarantee their safety in transit. Sadly, I restricted my shopping to smaller articles that would travel safely, but I did buy one small pyramid. The 10% discount for guests was very welcome. I was also allowed to include items purchased from other businesses in Seiffen, as well as a couple of large books - at no extra cost. When I got home and unpacked the parcel, everything was perfect. They had done a magnificent job of packing everything. Huge recommendation. Seiffen itself is quite an interesting little town with many surprises. It's worth more than the one day that I spent there.

Reviewed By T7148HPberndrWir haben für 10 Tage gebucht, Doppelzimmer, Halbpansion. Die Zimmer und das Hotel sehr sauber es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Das Essen, Frühstück und 3Gang - Menü zum Abendessen, sehr ausreichend und Schmackhaft. Der Service auch Super. Am Besten jedoch der Erholungswert, für jeden gibt es etwas zu Erleben in der näheren Umgebung. Viel Spaß beim Erkunden. Wir können das Hotel mit ruhigen Gewissen weiter empfehlen und kommen auch gerne selber wieder.

Rundum zum Wohlfühlen
Reviewed By Sarasmarie LDas Zimmer war super. Sehr sauber und hell mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, für jeden etwas dabei und man konnte sich ein Rührei dazu wünschen. Abends konnte man gemütlich im Gastraum sitzen, super dekoriert, und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Nach Absprache haben wir ein warmes und leckeres Abendbrot genießen können. Die Lage ist sehr gut, bis in die Innenstadt von Seiffen sind es ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert und lädt zum Wiederkommen ein. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die Chefin, welche sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend war.
