Stating with my check in I was greeted by door service and (Manuel Molina )at the hotel reception was very helpful and professional, he guided me through the entire process and explained all the hotel accommodations. Also want to say that the entirestaff, the doorman,bell captain,room service was out and beyond, I want to outline that the restorant is extraordinary,the food is excellent,and the kitchen staff very overwhelming. I want to recommend accommodations on deluxe rooms. Also wanted to thank (Ana Garia) because she was extremely profecional,helpful with minor issues that where correct immediately. The attention and friendly environment of the staff of this hotel makes it a 5 ?s I recommend it over and over again. Forgot to mention they have private Parking as well for those who are not sure.

The company I work for is quite large, and I have many coworkers whom also have been staying weekly or monthly for 10 years, if not much longer. Needless to say, we have gotten to know the workers over time, and up until recently, they’ve all been really knowledgeable, helpful and nice. Unfortunately, much has changed since my last visit (5/16, for 2 days & nights), me and my coworkers were very abruptly and rudely advised that we could no longer have guests over unless they paid for access to the hotel. Myself and many of my coworkers have family and friends who come by to have lunch or dinner with us at the hotels restaurant, a tab that we always take care of. Whatever is consumed is always paid for, as we are not looking for handouts. To pay what’s basically an “entrance fee” is despicable. You would expect this from an all inclusive resort, wherein meals and beverages (including alcohol) is covered. Were this an all inclusive, I’d be more than happy to pay for my guests entrance fee, but it is not. It seems Hodelpa Gran Almirante is trying to recoup all the money that they may have lost at the beginning of the pandemic. It’s absurd to treat your paying guests in such a way. I spoke to one of the front desk managers that I’ve known for a few years and the overall attitude I was given was “sorry, not sorry”.

It was a beautiful location and everything in the pictures are not enough to describe how beautiful it was. It was cheap and beautiful I recommend it to other people and you will not regret the stay there.

Located at the heart of Santiago de los Caballeros; we offer double rooms and shared rooms for our fellow travelers. We are nearby all the monumental heritage of the city. Our hostal is an open space loft with white walls along with some picturesque paintings made from local artists. The entrance is a hidden door going straight to the second floor were you’ll see the common area for guest; the kitchen, table area, rest area and living room are all in a open space for you to share conversations, play with our board games, have dinner parties, watch a movie or simply reading some books. Also we have free WIFI. The rooms are located on the third floor we have 1 shared mixed dorm room with 3 bunk beds and one single bed; the other 4 rooms are queen size bed for more privacy. Each room is accommodated with their own bathroom, hot water showers, A/C, and fan

We arrived at Santiago's Caribe Bus Station, taxied(US$4) 5 km south to this hostel and climbed the "Memories Stairwell" to the 1st floor reception. Here a young Spanish speaking housekeeper acknowledged our paid reservation, led us through the lobby's TV(Netflix, +etc) lounge, showed us the shared fully outfitted kitchen with large refer, tea, coffee and cookies, then up a flight of steps to one of their limited en suites, Room #1. The spotless tiled room had a comfortable double, a small desk with lamp and folding wooden chair, and adjoining bathroom with soap, shampoo and 2 bath towels. One nightstand (no closet-just wall hooks), a quietly efficient AC and overhead fan completed the room. The lovely English speaking manager(raised in NYC) arrived soon after to arrange our private transport to Las Terrenas, making several calls to get the best price from several taxi companies. This sparkling white property, providing mostly hostel accommodations, is near Scotia Bank, Pizza Hut, Subway, KFC, a small grocery and the downtown sights. 1.5 km NE is the outstanding Supermercado Bravo with a cafe and a Wendy's below. Area clubs can contribute music/noise till 2 AM! Our en suite is a good value at ~$US 36 per night.

Reviewed By GlynCarreGreat hotel and a fabulous restaurant with great views. I had a lower floor room which has received differing reviews, however I thought it was terrific. It had a large balcony (larger than some upper floor rooms). Bathroom great and a huge room. Having read another review I was not altogether surprised when asked whether I had ever read my confirmation and whether I knew check-in time. It was 1pm and check-in is 3pm. I felt like a naughty school-boy for being early. Unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this standard. Most unwelcoming. I had a 6 week trip and had indeed not memorised all the various check-in times. A valued guest should be welcomed WHENEVER they arrive; If the room is not ready yet they may decide to have lunch or return later, which is fine. First impressions count the most and it was a very poor start and this style and approach should be rectified urgently.

Rooms are on the small side,but clean. Restaurant serves simple,but good ala carte breakfast,closed for lunch,open for dinner. The food is average or below. There are many restaurants in the area,of all kinds,many good options.Very safe neighborhood.

The whole place need a renovation, everything inside is so old . They don’t even have a remote for the Ac , no hot water . I regret I paid the money . If you Choose to stay there because of the cheap price plz ask to view the room before payment and I can Assure you you will walk out immediately . The area is perfect but I guest the owner or management just don’t care . They should close this whole building down . The towels ,sheet everything is old worst experience in Santiago that’s my 8 th time and I’m very disappointed . Restless night so much noise .

Básicamente es un complejo de apartamentos que opera bajo la modalidad de Airbnb. Es como un hotel, con servicios básicos, recepción, parqueos, área social y gimnasio. ¡Un palo! Y los precios me parecen justos (Varían por temporada y tipo de apartamento). Este apartamento con dos habitaciones me costó US$227 dólares por una noche, he pagado tarifas más económicas en este edificio por una sola habitación, en el app los precios son dinámicos pero directamente con ellos es más económico. ¡Así qué ya saben!
