Reviewed By Troy MThe onsite amenities were great. The options of the two pools (indoor or outdoor) were excellent. Our room was to standard. We really liked how that, during our two nights stay, the room was not cleaned in between our nights to remain environmentally friendly. Fresh towels were provided at our request. We stayed here to access the hiking trails in the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay. Three suggestions would be: Parking should be decided once our room (and tower) has been provided. We parked a large distance from our room location. Next, we didn't even know about the outdoor pool until finding it as we walked around the hotel. A map of the grounds or information given at check-in would be nice. Lastly, we were visiting during the NHL playoffs (and the Habs were playing). However, the bar said they were closing at 9pm (hockey game started at 8pm) and were not able to acccomodate us with kids. The kids were fine to play in the "aracade" but we had to migrate back to our hotel room to watch the rest of the game.

Good Business Trip
Reviewed By Mtl26Good hotel. Clean and Quiet. I spend three nights here for business. There is a Boston Pizza attached to the hotel which is convenient. As I was there during Covid they had grab and go bags for breakfast which were nice and efficient. Overall it was a good stay and I would be back.

Great views and an outdoor pool yet the room looks like a prison cell and we saw hair in the bathroom and shower. We are here on a trip with our puppy and unfortunately shd can't be pool side with us. We chose this location for the pool. The outside is so beautiful yet the rooms are rotten. I have no idea how they have a tourist of Quebec plaque. Keep driving and avoid this place.

Reviewed By Traveller881206The old building in a very quiet but central area was really impressive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms which don’t loose the old charme of the building but had everything you need(refrigerator, tv, USB ports). Calm and comfy stay. The mattress in our room was a little bit worn out and should be changed. No real problem for us during our two night stay.

Because this is the year of the Covid, no breakfast service as available except for a "continental breakfast" at a cost of $14 each plus taxes. No thank you!! The receptionist was not a people person (and that's putting it politely); she was borderline flippant and impolite. The room itself was adequate, but the carpet had a big cigarette burn on it (and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room)! The receptionist made a point of telling us that they would charge us if we removed the hand sanitizer bottle from the room; really?!!!! The rooms were not very well insulated as I could hear noise from the hallways all night long. The only positive is the view of the fjords facing the hotel.

Reviewed By ScotchAndSuitsWe had a good time at this hotel. The location is nice and the view beautiful. The room and whole hotel is very outdated and could use lots of renovations. The shower head was rusty and the shower so tiny you could barely turn in it. The whole setup and decoration of the room looked straight out of 1950. The heater in the room is super noisy and kept turning on and off all night. I was freezing and burning hot in the same night, without touching the settings at all. The food was delicious and we loved the table setting in our room. The service was fine but we had to climb up a flight of stairs with our luggage. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel.

Reviewed By John DI was warned about smoking and not welcomed. I hate smoking, quit pot 30 yrs ago and never liked tobacco. They should put hard wired tamper proof smoke alarms in each room. Smokers lie, put them all on the same floor. Clearly someone had smoked on my floor on the first day. My cold welcome made me not go to the pub or go to the diner. Sure if anyone smokes near me, I have the overwhelming desire to punch them in the face, but everyone should be innocent until proven guilty.

I stayed in the themed Egypte Room which was very comfortable with a smart bathroom. The Gite is within walking distance of microbreweries offering food and other restaurants all of which were busy on a Friday evening. Next morning the breakfast was plentiful, refreshing and really tasty - yoghurt with granola followed by a cheese and ham omelette with accompanying fruit and toast. Thanks Normand for a lovely stay, all too short and for taking me to the coach station in yet more snow.

Toutes les chambres sont décorées différemment ce qui leurs confèrent une personnalité propre à elle. L'auberge est muni d'un vaste stationnement privé à l'avant et d'un beau jardin à l'arrière. Une cuisinette équipée est disponible afin de vous permettre de vous préparer un repas. Le petit déjeuner est servi sur place. Plusieurs aires communes sont aménagées afin de vous procurer un coin d'intimité, de repos et de confort. Bienvenu à l'Auberge Le St-Georges

Reviewed By MikeBarry657We stayed here on a bike tour and really appreciated the nice, clean Auberge, and that it is in a great location, just a short walk to restaurants in Jonquiere and with a convenience store just across the street. The room included a nice breakfast with a mix of some serve yourself buffet items and great hot breakfast made to order.
