Reviewed By Xavierparis78Very nice hotel, large rooms and very good breakfast with a large choice. The Spa is open from 6am till 10 PM and is really nice. The restaurant is usually good but unfortunately it is closed on Tuesday evenings. we had to go out for dinner.

Fortunately, the Sandwirth hotel has an excellent location. Our hotel is an ideal location in many ways: located in the heart of the historical Renaissance centre, it is just 250 metres from Neuen Platz, with its Lindwurm, and 100 metres from the traditional Benedictine market. It is only about 4 km from Lake Wörthersee. Underground parking, bus stops and bike rental stations are just around the corner.

Reviewed By olivierc47Our GPS had a small problem getting us there (but that might be the GPS, it made other mistakes...) but this hotel is really situated in the middle of the town, within walking distance of the most essentail sights and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite comfortable, but being on a lower floor quite noisy. Due to COVID only breakfast was served - but a very good breakfast it was. Maybe tables were a bit close together for that period. For dinner, the staff made excellent suggestions. The famous Austrian charm (especially for a Swiss like me) was heartwarming.

The hotel does not provide parking, but that's ok, plenty of parking spots around the hotel, free of charge in weekend.

Reviewed By jalasayia2020Me and my wife had a wonderful stay and an excellent experience of our first visit to Austria. The hotel is very clean and charming. You can see that it is a family run business, the owners are always there and we felt way more comfortable than in big chain hotels we normally stay in. It was a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end, the breakfast was amazing, the location was great as it was only a short walk to the lake and the front desk which is run by the owners (mother and daughter) was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Next day the manager try to con us for three times the original price. Only after calling police they reduce demands. Lied through their teeth all the time. Stay away from this place! We can call it the worst experience ever.( We travel a lot all around the world).

Disappointed
Reviewed By adamgH7468OTI made a reservation thru Accor for two family rooms for my family (me, my wife and two children) and for my parents. The reservation was confirmed and guaranteed. When we arrived at the hotel it turned out they had been run out of family rooms and they offered to us 4 standard rooms - as the reception said it was a compensation:) in fact we didn’t need so many rooms for us so it wasn’t any compensation… and we told it to the reception but they didn’t want to help us, telling jokes about overbooking… we made a claim to the manager of the hotel the next day just before leaving asking her for refund some money, but the lady didn’t want to help… I don’t recommend that hotel to anyone.

Great location in town centre
Reviewed By Looby_Lou111A group of us stayed her for Ironman 2018. They provided excellent correspondence prior to the event. All of the staff were really helpful. Christian was the most help and was able to provide us with any information we required. He also stayed up really late on race night transferring the last of the group back to the hotel after 01.00am on Monday morning, and that was after making multiple trips backwards and forwards to the race site. The rooms are generally quiet and beds are comfy. There is only one pillow per person - ask if you want more. A continental breakfast is included with quite a limited choice, although boiled eggs are available on request. There are no tea/coffee making facilities within the hotel outside of breakfast so take a travel kettle if you need this. Make sure you request a room with a bath if you want one.

Reviewed By Chris MWe spent one night in that hotel. I was astonished that the 4stars hotel has rooms without air condition. Nearby there is a railway and the trains weak you up whole night when your window is opened. You can’t sleep, either it is to worm (without any ventilation) or when you open the window it’s too noisy.

good small hotel with excellent host
Reviewed By christinakeilWe only stayed one night but the host made us feel incredibly welcome and gave us lots of tips on what to do, where to eat ect. The room was quite small but neat, tidy and clean. The breakfast is excellent for a hotel of this size. Not the cheapest for the room size but would certainly go back if I was in the area.
