Already after a short drive you can reach the shopping centre Westpark, the Saturn Arena (concerts & ice hockey), the AUDI Sportpark (soccer), the rural area of the Altmühltal Nature Park and the Dinopark. A cut above the usual roadside stay
Reviewed By KiriwanaI spent one night here on my way from North Germany to Italy. It is just a few hundred meters from the highway. I make the trip often and have tried many different hotels and motels along the route. Although Block was slightly (but only slightly) more than I usually spend, it was most definitely worth it. The (standard double) room, while not vast, was certainly not cramped. And the room layout was extremely well thought-out, unlike many places where, when you sit at the desk, you can feel the bed pressing into your back, or you have to squeeze sideways to get past the wardrobe. Here, you could move around freely. The bathroom was also roomy, with a large walk-in shower. The room has a mini-bar (which I didn't use) and a coffee maker (which I did). The common spaces are also nicely appointed and well thought out in terms of flow. There is a large garden terrace and a smaller terrace off the breakfast room. As I am covid-cautious, I sat and ate outside, which was not a problem. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant in the hotel. But they provide you with a list of nearby places to eat. Or you can opt for what they called " bar snacks", either pizza or a salad. I had the salad, which was the size of a main course and tasted good. The bar has a nice selection of wines. As compensation for no evening restaurant, the breakfast was killer. A vast variety of hot foods, both sweet and savory, and good quality cold cuts and juices. (And, yes, a muesli bar, which I saw out of the corner of my eye ;-)) Both the common spaces and the room/bathroom were spotless and seemed well-maintained. All the personnel, from reception to bartender, were friendly and professional. As others have mentioned, you can hear the highway a bit in the outdoor spaces and if you open the window in your room. So if you are highly noise-sensitive, probably not the place for you. Otherwise, I recommend it.

Reviewed By 64shalevaWe often stay in this hotel. Its perfectly situated in the center of Ingolstadt. Staff is kind, rooms are great, breakfast is great, there is a very comfortable underground parking, and the best (Italian) restaurant in town, just right in the hotel.

The IntercityHotel Ingolstadt opened its doors in March 2014. The 144 rooms of the Hotel impress with their central location directly at Ingolstadt's main railway station. The Kreuztor, one of Ingolstadt's landmarks, is just as easy to reach from the hotel as the Rathausplatz and the "museum mobile". The 144 soundproofed rooms provide pleasant comfort with a modern colour concept. After a restful night's sleep, start the day with a hearty breakfast before exploring the area with the FreeCityTicket included in the room rate. The use of the WLAN is free of charge for guests of all participating IntercityHotels up to a bandwidth of 256 KB/s.
Basic hotel, but fails at the basics
Reviewed By W2kStayed for three nights as part of a business trip. The location right next to a bus and train station is convenient for getting in and out, but far away from any decent nightlife or eats. In my room, I was treated to stained towels and a very stiff bed with a single sad pillow. Despite leaving the dirty towel on the floor as instructed the room was never serviced during my stay and the towel was never replaced. There was a breakfast buffet of decent quality but basic filter coffee wasn't available. There is no hotel bar and the vending machine was out of order. Toilets on the reception floor were closed, allegedly because of the pandemic, but perhaps more likely to avoid their abuse by the roaming drunk who strayed into the reception late at night, bothering us to buy them beers. There was no visible security staff on hand and the situation did not feel safe. I will stay at a different hotel next time.

The four-star NH Ingolstadt is conveniently located only a few minutes from the Ingolstadt city center, with the Danube River and its enchanting bicycle track as well as the A9 highway both in close proximity.

Reviewed By timkoelemanNot pleasant to say the least. We are from a different country and were not directly aware a FFP2 mask was needed. Logical, as we had been travelling the country all day and no shop, gas station, or official place ever notified us we needed one. Local personnel did not wore the FFP2 masks either, only much later we found they are exempt of this rule. Makes sense, right? It does not. Upon arrival and check-in NO ONE let us know we wore the wrong masks. When we dined for a few hours in the hotel restaurant, NO ONE notified us we were wearing the wrong masks. Moreover many guests wore the same masks as we did; not the FFP2 masks. The next day we were bluntly denied access to the breakfast room, no discussion opened, no friendly provisioning of correct masks offered. No one informed us the masks were available at the hotel. Only blunt and unfriendly denial of entry was offered. Treated like common criminals, I will never visit another NH hotel again due to this experience and will make sure all my business contacts are informed when they ask.

Great friendly designed hotel
Reviewed By Honestandfair4We really enjoyed this hotel. Rooms are simple but beautiful and very clean. Absolutely loved the minimalistic design. Staff was very friendly and all necessary facilities are there; parking on site, great breakfast, fast WiFi, and for those visiting the Audi forum it’s only a short walk from the hotel. Would definitely visit again!

Very nice hotel
Reviewed By jar0u_kVery clean rooms, kind stuff, good prize, good breakfast. We had problem with bathroom it was quite dangerous to enter the shower, wasnt clevery upgraded.(Room 218).Internet worked fine. Next night in Ingolstad will be in Donau hotel for sure.
