Slightly disappointing
Reviewed By NemoTravelerWe stayed two nights on a road trip to Germany. Havelberg is an former Hanseatic city, today a rather small town, located in the northern part of Sachsen-Anhalt (Saxony-Anhalt). It is situated on the River Havel, not far from the River Elbe, and the town centre is well preserved. The hotel has 34 rooms and is located a couple of kilometers outside Havelberg on hilly grounds with a nice view of the surrounding area. The hotel is modern and with several sculptures and paintings, which is a nice touch. Covid 19 regulations were handled nicely by the staff. We had booked a Superior room. It was located in a separate building on the first (ground) floor with a nice, small terrace with a table and two chairs. However, due to the hilly grounds, the entrance of the building was on the second floor, and we had to carry our luggage down (and later up) the stairs, as there was no elevator. Our room was of decent size, and the beds comfortable. A safe was available, but no coffee making equipment and no A/C in the room. We found some crumbs in the chairs, which had not been thoroughly cleaned, but apart from this the room was reasonably clean. The hotel Wi-Fi was slow and not up to modern standards. We asked about this issue at the front desk and were told that this was due to an inadequate capacity in the main net outside the hotel. Hopefully this issue will be solved in the future, as most guests would probably expect good Wi-Fi. Our rate included breakfast which was good, alas not excellent, and we noted a rather slow restocking of some items. The rating reflects the price we paid for our stay, and based on this it is just average.

Hervorragende Unterkunft
Reviewed By Rudi_KippFür einen Kurzurlaub hatten wir ein Apartments im „Kornspeicher“ in Havelberg für 2 Übernachtungen gebucht. Das historische Gebäude wurde in den letzten Jahren aufwändig restauriert und komplett umgebaut und bietet nun unter anderem 5 neuwertige Ferienwohnungen. Wir hatten das Apartment Nummer 1 im Erdgeschoss mit Blick auf die Havel. Bei Ankunft geht man zum Schlüsseltresor, er befindet sich bei den Briefkästen rechts vom Eingang, stellt den vorab per email zugesandten Code ein, öffnet das Kästchen und entnimmt den Zimmerschlüssel. Neben einem neuen einstellbaren Funktionsbett finden sich Tisch, Stühle, Schrank und Miniküche, alles funktional und praktisch. Das Bad ist großzügig, sauber und neuwertig. Die Party-Küche stellt eine Doppelkochplatte (Induktion), Nespresso Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher bereit. Fernseher und WLAN funktionierten einwandfrei. Besteck, Tassen, Trinkbecher, 2 Weingläser, Flaschenöffner, Teller usw. sind vorhanden, Handtücher werden gestellt. Was gibt es nicht: Mikrowelle, Ofen, konventionelle Kaffeemaschine. Von diesen drei Dingen könnte die Mikrowelle eine sinnvolle Ergänzung sein. Zu den fünf Miet-Apartments gehören zwei Parkplätze, die während unseres Aufenthaltes belegt waren, in der Nähe haben wir aber einen öffentlichen Parkplatz gefunden - kein Problem. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft auch zur Selbstverpflegung. Restaurants finden sich aber auch ganz in der Nähe. Auch wenn man selbst nicht kochen möchte, ist dies eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Havelberg würden wir gerne wieder hier übernachten.

Cycling tour from Hamburg to Berlin .
Reviewed By cathoue51Even though there is no restaurant in this hotel at the moment because of Covid and a lack of personal , we have had a beautiful room with a balcony over the harbour. A very spacious bathroom with bath and shower made the stay even nicer . A very friendly hostess operating more or less alone explained to us with a set of keys how we could find our way around and where to store our bikes . Good breakfast . Very quiet night .

Reviewed By u019516Zugegebenermaßen sehr spät, nämlich so gegen 17:30 Uhr fingen wir am zweiten Tag unserer Tour an, uns um ein Quartier zu bemühen. Die ersten Anrufe waren leider vergeblich: Die Hoteliers in Havelberg freuten sich über ausgebuchte Kapazitäten. Der vierte Anruf brachte dann nach einigem Zögern eine Zusage: „Sie können aber nur noch in unseren Radler-Kojen nächtigen!“. Das Prinzip: Einzelne Schlafkammern, aber gemeinsames Bad und WC. Da wir als Familie die einzigen Nutzer waren, störte das nicht. Und das Beste: Garz lag einige Kilometer vor Havelberg und war nur noch einen Katzensprung entfernt. Ausnehmend nette Rezeptionistinnen (abends wie morgens). Bestens geschlafen, Räder in großer Scheune sicher weggeschlossen, und am Morgen ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet mit einer sehr aufmerksamen Gastgeberin. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung!

Pension owner is quite a fun character as well and the patio is right on the Havel river. Great for an after cycling beer. Havelberg is a nice little town to visit as well.

Reviewed By MortenhaThe room was large and nice. Double bed and an extra bed. Kitchen areas with basic ameneties. There is no breakfast, but a petrol station accoss the road sells what you need. The main draw was the bathroom. You have to stand in the bath tub when showering, and there is no curtains to keep the water in the bath tub, hence the fllor gets wet. In itself, this is not a problem, but there is no wter drains so the water stays in the floor.
