Please note that we ordered a room and the view was to the parking area, which is upsetting. and in order to have the regular view, we had to upgrade the room. The room was clean, made of wood. We took the breakfast that was satisfactory.

Reviewed By SebiMacaWe have searched a lot for a restaurant where we could eat grilled trout until we found this one. There serve fresh trout from a nearby local fish farm. Simply delicious. And the view of the mountains from the large terrace is just perfect for a meal. Simply beautiful.

The central location in the Dachstein-Salzkammergut area is a great take-off point for reaching (by car or public transpo) the numerous hiking and nature trails in the region. Strict adherence to Covid19 regulations. WiFi everywhere. There's plenty of lounging space in- and outdoors on the front- and back-terraces; the spacious rooms are adequately and tastefully furnished. Spa facilities in the basement. Everything is kept clean and orderly. Cook and staff prepare excellent breakfast and dinner buffets that take account of guests' varied nutritional needs. Noon snack and afternoon cake-and-coffee are a delight! Best of all: everyone is cheerful, friendly, ready to serve and make sure you enjoy your stay. If you need anything, just say so: they'll make it right!

Unsere Wirtin verwöhnt ihre Gäste mit „g’schmackig guatn“ Gerichten, die sie am liebsten mit frischen Kräutern aus Wiesen und Garten zubereitet. Diese genießt man dann auf der wohl schönsten Sonnenterasse weit und breit, mit traumhaften Blick auf den Gosaukamm. Unsere wunderschönen Zimmer- teilweise mit Südloggia laden so richtig zum „Faulenzen“ ein.

Reviewed By november_moonWe stayed at this guesthouse as part of a walking holiday, and it was really good. The people are very welcoming and gracious, and the food was wonderful. We were there on a half-board basis, so had breakfast and dinner each day. Breakfast is buffet with plenty of good choices. There are the standard breads, meats, cheeses, and cereals, but also something a little different each day. The coffee is plentiful and good. Dinner is 4 courses from a set menu with a few choices of soup and main course available. Everything was very good, including a lovely salad each day. I would come back just for the food. There is a nice terrace out front with wonderful views of the mountains. Our room was simple, but fine. It could probably use a little sprucing up, but did the job. The location of the hotel is right on the main road, which is a positive and negative. It's very close to the bus stop and convenient to the rest of the village, which is great. However there is traffic noise and lights from the cars at night. There isn't a lot of traffic though since this is a rural area. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay while hiking in the area.

Horrible owners, zero friendliness.
Reviewed By Christoph HThe owners of this hotel belong to the most impertinent and unkind people I've ever met in my life and during all my travels. After my phone has been stolen and could be located in this hotel, I asked the owner Erni Waller kindly if it has been found and tried to call it, so I might hear it ring somewhere. Instead of showing some understanding for this situation, she told me in an arrogant way this was my problem and not hers and told us to leave her hotel immediately. Her husband is even worse. While we were respecting their rules and waited for the police in front of the hotel, he came towards us and insulted and threatened us - completely out of nowhere and without any reason. The owner might appear friendly to guests who bring money, but how they treat you if you have any kind of problem will show you, how foul they really are. There are lots of other good hotels around in this area. Don't hassle with these kind of people.

What more could you want than the view from the terrace (and some rooms) of the Gosaukamm, the 2450m high peak at the end of the valley? And, if that isn't enough, there is the Gosau lake and, a few minutes' drive away, the historic village of Hallstatt. The gasthof itself has clean comfortable rooms, a sauna/ health facility and an excellent kitchen serving hot food from 11 to 9. Everyone is helpful and friendly. It is a joy to stay there.

Reviewed By rahulsingh_321We stayed here for 4 nights. And we booked the one bedroom apartment with kitchen. The location is absolutely perfect. View of the mountains. View of the meadows. Bus stop is right there in front. So quiet. Serene. The hosts are the best people I met. Everything about the place is so great that we will definitely come here again.

Kitchen was well equipped, I just missed the strainer.The owner was very friendly. We came hours before check in time and it was not a problem. Supermarket is 2 minutes ride away. There are also restaurants nearby. The location of the apartment is a good base for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Reviewed By Muehl621A lovely holiday spent at Pension Gosaukammblick. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Close to the ski lifts, cross country skiing tracks, river walk, restaurants and a very short drive up to Gosau Lake. Will definitely return ?
