Quiet, relaxing and good value for money
Reviewed By BigNev1960An excellent location for business conferencing; Spacious, quiet and totally self-contained (swimming pool included). The staff were very welcoming and the rooms fine for a couple of nights stay. The catering was also very goot; I can reccommend the Benediktiner beers!

Great friendly owners and foid
Reviewed By Les FWe stayed here because it was right in town on the square. The food was outstanding and owners very friendly. This is an old building but we'll preserved. Just to let you know no elevator. The schnitzel wax the best we gad in Germany while there. Overall you can't go wrong.

The low mountain range is only an hour's drive from Frankfurt am Main and offers many leisure activities for the whole family all year round.
practical place to stay for hikers and pilots
Reviewed By snokielocated at the summit of the Wasserkuppe it is a prefect place to stay for everybody who loves paragliding, hiking or flying. We got a room in the house next door (Der Deutsche Flieger) The room was clean, bathroom newly and nicely renovated. There was no wireless in the room but I think there was wifi in the reception area. The breakfast staff was a bit inattentive and the buffet quite empfy when we started with our breakfast. The night before we had a 4 course menue. The food tasted delicious but waiting half an hour for every course was quite a bit tiring. The wine recommendations were very good. The hotel parking lot seems to be used by everybody so that we partly had to park outside.

If you're a glider pilot, you will luuuuurve this place!
Reviewed By Mike PWe stopped overnight at the Wasserkuppe on our way back from Slovakia. I had pre-booked the hotel a couple of weeks previously. The hotel itself is an annexe to the adjacent Hotel Restaurant Peterchens Mondfahrt where our meals were taken. Our room was spacious and it seemed that the en-suite bathroom had been pre-fabricated and placed in the corner of our room. Nothing wrong with this but it seemed a bit strange. WiFi was provided foc and was fast. The Hotel Deutscher Flieger is actually the upstairs part of a building which has shops and cafes on the ground floor. As stated elsewhere, the building is themed on vintage gliders, for which the Wasserkuppe is world famous. Directly opposite is the equally famous gliding museum which tells the story of our sport in Germany ever since its inception over 100 years ago. A fascinating place to visit. Service was friendly and efficient and the owner spoke excellent English. The food in the restaurant was very good indeed but pricey compared to the Czech republic from where we had driven. There is lots to do besides gliding at the Wasserkuppe and it was a shame that the weather was so poor during our visit. Certainly a place to visit again!

Teníamos alquilada la parte de arriba entera, q incluía una habitación muy espaciosa con dos camas regulables individualmente con múltiples posiciones. La televisión smart tv de 32 pulgadas. Y Terraza con tumbonas. El baño rústico con bañera estilo veneciana. Doble lavabo y mampara de ducha aparte. Albornoz. Velas de Led y artículos de aseo. En otra estancia, abuhardillada, un cómodo sofá de tres plazas, con tres cafeteras a elegir, de cápsulas o de grano. Una mesa enorme de madera maciza perfectamente decorada, microondas y nevera. Otra pequeña tv con DVD y multitud de películas para elegir. Esta estancia también dispone de terraza con una mesita y sillas de madera para desayunar al aire fresco. O si se prefiere dentro, el ventanal acristalado deja penetrar la luz y los rayos del sol crean un ambiente de luz y color ideal para empezar el día con una sonrisa. En Las instalaciones de fuera hay un amplio jardín con barbacoa. El propietario es una persona muy educada, dispuesto a ayudar en cualquier situación. Simpático y muy interesado en ofrecer sugerencias interesantes de ocio. Lo recomiendo al 100% tanto para desconectar como para recorrer la zona en plan aventura
