Reviewed By baristimurNew concept hotel, good breakfast but didn't try the food (lunch or dinner) because of negative comments. Shower is interesting after a few minutes it starts to drop and it happened all rooms we have stayed. The rooms have no minibar, this is not good. And if you order water to your room, water is 6 Euro service is 4 Euro so it is the mos expensive water in the world.

The Hotel is situated in the western part of the City district Dueren and only a few minutes away from the Highway number 4. The distance to the Center of town is less than 4 Kilometers and easy to reach by bus or taxi. The guestrooms are furnished ageless and all rooms offer a flat Screen TV, two complimentary bottles of Mineral water and Internet Access free of Charge. In Addition the Hotel contains two function rooms, one comfortable Restaurant, a nice bar - where live-Sport Events are shon on TV - a small Sauna and Fitness area as well as a modern Bowling alley. Parking Slots are available free of Charge for Hotel guests on the parking area that belongs to the premises.

Food is great (bother dinner and breakfast), rooms are very clean, great shower also can’t ask for any more while I’m working away from home. Jan and the Team are so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone ??

Reviewed By guidoaliusIf you know the Ibis chain and in this case the Ibis Budget chain, then you know what's expecting you when you book a room. In this case I must admit that the rooms were smaller than I had anticipated. However, the rooms were clean and, as per definition, very cheap.

Exceeded expectations
Reviewed By Mike PWe were driving home from a holiday in Bohemia and were just looking for somewhere to stay overnight. Duren is not really on the tourist trail and when you visit the place you can see why, but it is very well located for an overnight stay when travelling. It has little to offer although it is entirely adequate for an overnight stopover. With all this in mind, we arrived at the Durens Posthotel, which we had chosen on the basis of price. We were very pleasantly surprised. Service at the reception was friendly and efficient and we were delighted to be told that we had been allocated the "suite" at the top of the hotel. It wasn't so much a suite but rather a large attic room and an enormous bathroom. We felt that you could probably achieve your 10,000 steps a day by simply walking to and from the bathroom a few times! Wifi was provided and worked well. Decor was okay but the window blinds were not of the blackout type. Outdoor parking is available but they have a garage for which they charge 9Euros 50 a night. We had a lot of stuff in the car and preferred the added security that this brought. Sadly and presumably due to Covid, the hotel bar and restaurant were not open on the evening that we arrived so we went for a walk in the town (the hotel is fairly centrally located) to find a restaurant. We ate at La Taverna restaurant which was superb and we will review separately. There was a large vending machine in the stairwell and amongst other things, it dispensed beer. A group of other residents were enjoying a few bottles on the terrace outside. Breakfast was adequate for content but superb for service. The young lad looking after the breakfast service was charming. He spoke excellent English and told us just how much he enjoyed James Bond films. Would we stay there again? You betcha!

Reviewed By huukieThis hotel is rather remote and you do need a car. But if you want to explore the area it is a nice base. The staff is very friendly. Try to get a room away from the main road. There is a second hotel with a restaurant run by the same family more than 0.5 mile away. My room had a small pantry in case you would like to bring your own snack.

Reviewed By almerindotTotal disrespect for guests. Which hotel throws an evening party in the lounge below the rooms? Loud music at night, well after the acceptable time. Nothing is worse than wanting to sleep and unable to because of music posts by the hotel itself. Unacceptable behavior, I do not recommend.

Reviewed By Stefaan RI can understand everything that has been written in the previous comments. Either you like or you don't. I do! Slept very well, very nice shower and loved breakfast. Perhaps the champagne did help a bit :). It's German, touches of the mediterrainien, but above all without pretence. I do recommend it after my 1st visit.
